History

The company received thousands of consumer complaints regarding post-transaction marketing practices and allegedly deceptive credit card charges. The Washington Attorney General sued Intelius and a $1.3 million settlement was reached in August 2010.

The background check market is expected to boom over the next 5-7 years.

Sling TV made its debut on January 5, 2015, in a presentation at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company is owned and operated by Dish Network.

Sling TV is an American streaming television service that offers video on demand, local channels, and major cable channels which can be streamed via smart TVs and digital media players, such as Roku.

In September 2020, Sling TV announced Sling Watch Party, a co-viewing feature that allows people from different locations to watch live TV together simultaneously.

History

In 2021, the company announced a new version of Sling called Sling Free, where viewers would be able to watch limited programming for free by watching advertisements.

The company will be showing the 2022 Superbowl game and offering special deals for new subscribers.

Sling also showed the 2022 Winter Olympics via the NBC channel.

CareCredit was founded in 1987. This credit card is issued by Synchrony Bank.

This credit card was designed for people to use when faced with medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance, including prescriptions.

The CareCredit card is accepted by more than 225,000 providers, but it’s not a general-use type of card that people would also reach for when making nonmedical purchases.

History

While this type of credit card is accepted by many health care providers, not all doctors and hospitals accept this card.

CareCredit is a deferred payment and interest credit card. Minimum monthly payments must be made and users must pay the balance in full, usually within 12 months, to avoid any interest charges.

At this time, the company offers longer-term financing at a lower interest rate for larger medical purchases. Currently, purchases of $1,000 or more can qualify for:

14.9% APR for 24 months.
15.9% APR for 36 months.
16.9% APR for 48 months.

Purchases of $2,500 or more may be eligible for a 60-month loan at 17.9%. For all of these financing options, fixed monthly payments are required until the balance is paid in full.

In January 2022, CareCredit paired with Pawlicy Advisor to offer health care financing for pets.

Bloomingdale’s is a luxury department store chain founded in 1861 by brothers Lyman and Joseph Bloomingdale in New York City, New York.

As of October 31, 2021, there are 56 stores (58 boxes) including 33 department stores (35 boxes, all full line), 1 Bloomies, 1 furniture/other store and 21 outlet stores with the Bloomingdale’s nameplate in operation throughout the United States.
