Aveda Corporate Office

Aveda was founded in 1978 by Horst Rechelbacher. While on a trip to India in 1970, Rechelbacher was introduced to the ancient Hindu practice of medicine called Ayurveda. He decided to make his own company using these naturalistic principles. His first product was a clove shampoo that he made in his kitchen sink.

Aveda offers personal care items, such as skin creams and hair care products, made as organic as possible. The company is unique in that it was the 1st to endorse a set of principles that encourages environmental responsibility in manufacturing.

The company now offers vegan products that few other companies have considered making, such as shampoo.

In 2011, Aveda was slammed at an event in Park City, Utah, during the Evolution of Women in Social Media conference, for announcing their no-payment policy for bloggers reviewing their products.

The company had revenue in 2014 of $1.5 billion. Aveda was sold in 1997 to Estee Lauder for $300 million. Aveda products are sold in 150 countries with 40 percent sold in the Americas.

Aveda maintains a corporate office in Blaine, Minnesota.

HelloFresh Corporate Office

Hellofresh box

HelloFresh was founded in 2012 by Dominik Richter and Thomas Griesel in Berlin, Germany. This pair of friends wanted to create a fresh meal delivery service that exceeded the typical pizza or Chinese food type of delivery service.

HelloFresh began in Berlin, London, and Amsterdam, but quickly progressed to Australia and the East coast of the United States. By September 2014, the company began serving almost the entire United States. HelloFresh now averages 5.5 million meals each month in 7 countries. Hellofresh recipe card

The company offers complete uncooked meals, delivered to the home or office, in boxes. Clients receive full instructions and almost everything needed to cook and create a healthy meal. The company does expect clients to have basic items on hand, such as salt, olive oil, and white sugar, otherwise, everything is provided.

Hellofresh App

HellFresh also offers vegetarian meal services, as well as more conventional meal plans. Recently, HelloFresh has been criticized for the excessive packaging of their delivered meals, leading to waste. The company has also been criticized for its continually high marketing costs, which have prevented the company from becoming profitable. Another concern is the low level of customer retention. According to an independent analysis, less than 50% of customers remain subscribers after the first week, and less than 10% remain after 6 months.

In March 2018, the company announced that it had acquired Green Chef, another meal delivery service, which pushed HelloFresh into the largest meal delivery service, even larger than competitor Blue Apron.

In June 2022, the company partnered with St. Mary’s Food Bank to deliver meals to 300,000 New York community members in need of food.

In November 2023, HelloFresh warned investors that its revenue may not hit its expected target range.

The corporate office for the US branch of HelloFresh is located in New York, New York.

My Pillow Corporate Office

My Pillow was founded in 2004 by Michael J. Lindell, who is the inventor of the patented My Pillow product. Lindelll states that he invested 10 years of time researching sleep problems and more than 94 pillow designs before he invented his currently patented open cell, poly-foam pillow design.

To fund this company, Lindell sold 4 bars that he previously owned in Minnesota. In the beginning, Lindell sewed each pillow by hand and had family members working for the company. Today, the company has more than 650 employees.

My Pillow began running 30 minute infomercials in October of 2011 and sales began to increase dramatically. Lindell says that his company has sold more than 1 million pillows to date. His infomerical is still being shown at least 181 times each day throughout America.

The company also offers sheet sets, as well as pillow cases for its product.

In 2020, CEO and founder Mike Lindell stated that he backed then president Trump and believed that the election had been stolen from Trump, and other conspiracy theories such as the Covid 19 vaccine being the “Mark of the Beast.

He subsequently put out a film that supposedly backs up these claims. The film has been denounced as having no merit due to a lack of evidence.

Voting machine manufacturer Dominion stated in February 2021 that they would sue Mike Lindell if he did not desist from making false claims about their machines.

The company started off doing telephone sales only and in 2012, Lindell opened his first retail store in Burnsville, Minnesota. My Pillow now has 7 stores in 5 states.

Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohls, and Wayfair have all dropped My Pillow from stores in January 2021, due to Lindell’s conspiracy claims.

In June 2022, Walmart also pulled My Pillow from all locations.
