InsureMonkey was founded in 2009 by current CEO Alex Rivlin, Kurt Jarcik, and Mark Jolley. This trio realized that, with the passing of the Affordable Health Care Act, that there was a need to make shopping for health insurance from various companies easier for the consumer.
