Wurth Group acquired the company from the family of founder Fletcher Yeilding in April of 2016 for an undisclosed sum. All managers and employees were guaranteed their jobs at the company in the sales contract.

Attendance began to drop, however, until Pompano simulcast both Harness and Thoroughbred races from all over the USA and Canada. This allowed patrons to watch horse racing every day of the year. There is a fairly strict dress code, which allows nice jeans, but no tennis shoes, flip flops, T-shirts, or baseball caps. The restaurant offers VIP packages for groups of 8 or more. Cajun food and classic American dishes are featured, as well as a wide assortment of wine.

The Comfort Zone Restaurant moved late in 2016, just a few blocks away, after their lease was not renewed. Owner Charlene Smith claims that it worked out well because the new location added an extra 5,000 square feet of space and enabled her to employ another 20 persons.
