The company has developed a search engine which, based on customer input, helps to determine which of the available 6,500 plans and more than 250 insurance companies is the best possible choice. The platform helps consumers find health, short term, dental, Medicaid, and Medicare supplemental insurance products, along with critical illness protection, accident reimbursement, accidental death and dismemberment, accident disability income, and term life insurance.

Healthcare.Com is listed as #148 on the 2017 Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America. In 2016, the company had annual revenue of $16.8 million and a three year growth rate of 2,599%. Travelocity was founded in 1996 as a subsidiary of American Airlines reservation company Sabre Holdings. The company began to expand quickly once it began advertising on AOL in 1999.

The company operates an online reservation system that offers discounts on airline tickets, car rentals, hotel reservations, and packaged vacations. Travelocity has acquired numerous companies over the years, including AllHotels.Com, Site 59, and Lastminute.Com. Travelocity now operates as a subsidiary of Expedia.com, who acquired the company in January of 2015 for $280 million.

Expedia states that it has no intention, as of today, of changing Travelocity’s name. It is rumored that Expedia might also be interested in purchasing Orbitz.

AOL was originally founded in 1983 as Control Video Corporation. The company has changed names several times over the years including being called Quantum Computer Services in 1985, America Online in 1991, and now AOL, Inc. as of 2009.
