Disco Skincare Corporate Office

Ben Smith was looking for men’s skin care products when he realized that there weren’t any. Other than shaving lotion, there were no other skin products made just for the needs of men.

Named after that famous 70’s music era, Let’s Disco, often referred to simply as Disco, was founded in 2012.

Ben Smith’s plans straight forward:

“Disco will normalize self-care for men by offering easy-to-understand products and a straightforward membership program that allows guys to put their bathrooms on auto-pilot. It is our goal to provide a line of clean products you can count on, while also having fun along the way.”

The full Disco product suite will initially include: Face mask and scrub, eye stick, face cleanser stick, and moisturizer, body wash, and deodorant. After polling men regarding their wants and needs, this was what most men stated they would be interested in buying.

Clients can purchase individual products, or sign up for a membership to have one of three product boxes delivered monthly. Each product includes instructions on not only how to use it, but what the entire skincare product line includes and where the individual product falls within the skincare routine.

All products are vegan and are free from aluminum, gluten, parabens, or sulfates. The packaging is all recycled materials. Even with all that, prices are very reasonable.

In August 2021, the online magazine Financial Times stated that Disco was one of the top up-and-coming brands in men’s skincare products.

Let’s Disco maintains a corporate office in Austin, Texas.

Kid to Kid Corporate Office

When Shauna Sloan was a young mother, she was on a tight budget, so most of her children’s clothing items and toys came from thrift stores or yard sales. She wished that there was a single location where she could not only shop for items just for her children but where she could sell her gently used children’s items as well.

Sloan created the Kid to Kid franchise in 1992. The company buys and sells children’s items, everything from diapers to toys, cribs to bicycles.

Kid to Kid prides itself on being environmentally friendly, with a very low carbon footprint. By buying a used pair of jeans, a person saves the 10,000 gallons of water it takes to grow the cotton to make denim fabrics.

The Sloans opened their first store in Sandy, Utah. They opened a second store within the year, with the first franchise location opening in 1994.

The company currently has 100 franchised locations.

Kid to Kid maintains a corporate office in North Salt Lake City, Utah.

Find a Grave Corporate Office

Jim Tipton enjoyed walks through cemeteries and enjoyed reading the various headstones, especially celebrity gravestones. He began his own webpage to keep track of this hobby in 1995.

Find a Grave was launched as a commercial site in 1998, then incorporated in 2000.

In 2013, Tipton sold Find a Grave to Ancestry.com, stating the genealogy company had “been linking and driving traffic to the site for several years.

As of May 2020, Find a Grave contained over 180 million burial records and 80 million photos.

The website contains listings of cemeteries and graves from around the world, with both celebrities and regular people.

Though it does not ask permission from immediate family members before uploading the photos, it will remove and take down photos or a URL for a deceased loved one at the request of an immediate family member.

Find a Grave also maintains lists of memorials of famous persons by their “claim to fame”, such as Medal of Honor recipients, religious figures, and educators. Find a Grave exercises editorial control over these types of listings.

During the Covid lockdowns, many people found the webpage both interesting and helpful.

Find a Grave maintains a corporate office in Lehi, Utah.

Walter Drake Corporate Office

Back in 1947 Mr. Walter Drake, a pioneer in direct mail, began operations in Colorado Springs in a one-room office. He had a single novel idea, a character named “Tommy Turtle.” Drake advertised Tommy Turtle in magazines like House Beautiful and Harper’s Bazaar. Parents all over the country began signing their children up to receive personalized, upbeat pen pal letters and gifts from Tommy.

Soon, Mr. Drake made a mail-order catalog that included stationery, pens, personalized labels, and Christmas cards.

Today, Walter Drake offers a variety of hard-to-find and novelty items, from sofa covers to dog beds.

In March 2004, competitor Miles Kimball purchased the Walter Drake company for $53 million.

While online shopping is now common for the company, they still mail out catalogs to those who request them.

Walter Drake maintains a corporate office in Holyoke, Wisconsin.
