Tough Mudder Corporate Office

Tough Mudder courses features over 20 obstacles including live wires, butter-slicked monkey bars over a pit of cold water, a dumpster filled with ice water, a 8-12 wall to scale, narrow pipes and mud, and a high jump. The company emphasizes teamwork and participants must help others complete the course.

Tough Mudder has had more than 1.3 million people worldwide participants in events since its founding in 2010.

Outerwall was founded in 1991 as Coinstar, Inc. Coinstar machines turn change into paper currency, gift cards, or donations and deduct a fee of 10.9% for the service.

In 2009 Coinstar bought Redbox DVD rental kiosks from McDonald’s.

Shareholders voted to change the name of the company in 2013 to Outerwall.

Today Outerwall operates 65,800 DVD rental kiosks located in drug and convenience stores, restaurants, supermarkets, and big-box retailers throughout North America. DVD rental kiosks account for 85% of the company’s business.

Outerwall trades publicly on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol OUTR, is a member of the S&P 600, is a member of the Russell 2000, is #884 in the Fortune 1000, has 2,760 employees, and had $2.30 billion in revenue in 2014.
