It has grown from the largest secondary-market ticket marketplace in the United States into the world’s largest ticket marketplace.

In November 2019, Viagogo acquired StubHub for $4.05 billion.

While consumers are big on StubHub, the company has attracted considerable criticism from sports executives. Tim Leiweke, former CEO of AEG has stated that “many sports executives hate StubHub because the company doesn’t invest in the product on the court”

During the World Series games in 2021, some StubHub ticket holders were selling their standing-room-only tickets for $1,000.

In September 2021, StubHub was forced to refund more than $3 million in tickets sales to customers in Colorado after many venues closed due to Covid. The company originally declined to refund ticket holders but the attorney general reached a settlement with the company.

In 2012, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) fined Spokeo $800,000 for marketing information to human resource departments for employment screening without adhering to consumer protection provided by the Fair Credit Reporting Act—the first FTC fine involving personal data collected online and sold to potential employers.

The site not only tracks people, but businesses as well, noting a company’s gross margin, production, and annual revenue.

Uline was founded in 1980 by Liz and Richard “Dick” Uihlein. After inheriting money from the Schlitz beer fortune, the couple recognized the need for a local company that could provide shipping materials.

Glowforge Corporate Office

Glowforge is a 3-D laser printer invented by Dan Shapiro in 2014.

The company found success quickly, selling more than $30 million in sales during its initial crowdfunding source. Sales have continued to surge most likely because Glowforge, unlike most other 3-D printers, which make objects out of melted plastic, Glowforge printers use laser beams to cut or etch raw materials such as leather, wood, acrylic, glass, fabric, or cardboard.
