Twistee Treat was founded in 1983 in North Fort Myers, Florida. The company sells soft serve ice cream and smoothies. The original owners offered franchises and soon new stores were all over Florida. The company filed for bankruptcy in 1991. Franchise owners were sold the right to the name and the buildings.

In 1996 the rights to the name was sold and renamed Twistee Treat USA. The company began building new locations in 2010. Currently, there are 35 locations in central Florida, the Tampa, Florida, area, and Houston, Texas. Current plans for expansion call for 15 new locations by 2018, with 6 more in the Houston area. All stores are company owned.

Twistee Treat is best known for their ice cream shaped buildings and ice cream made with real cream, not milk. Headquarters are now located in Orlando, Florida.

Holiday House was founded in Palm Springs, California, in 1951 by Lloyd Whaley. Designed by Herbert Burns, the hotel was designed to be more of a family home, rather than a hotel. The building has been sold several times and changed names, the most recnetly being in 2016 to current owners Jeff Brock and Richard Crissman, who also own the Sparrows Hotel. The rooms has been remodeled and the hotel has to its original name of Holiday House.

The hotel has 28 rooms and suites. None of the rooms have phones or televisions, but wifi is available. The hotel rents only to those 21 and older and is small pet friendly. There is a heated saline pool, a game room, and a restaurant that is available only for hotel guests and room service. The focus of the hotel is on art and tranquility.

Holiday House is sometimes referred to as a “boutique” hotel, due to the artwork and sculptures found in the rooms and the grounds. The hotel is a short 10 minute ride from the airport.

JustFly was founded in 2012 in Quebec, Canada. The company is third party, online service which offers discounted airline tickets. The company is owned by Momentum Adventures, which also owns websites FlightHub.

History

The company uses a metasearch engine to find deeply discounted seats, often last minute or red-eye flights to destinations in more than 167 countries. JustFly also offers a mobile phone apps for both IOS and Android phones. The company states that they have more than 100,000 visitors to their site each day and had more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue.

JustFly has also had numerous complaints; so much so that the Better Business Bureau is warning people to avoid using this company. They received more than 1,500 complaints and the company responded to only 5 persons.

While there are far more complaints than action, a few clients did manage to obtain refunds for cancelled flights.

There is no listed address for JustFly, but only for their parent company, Momentum Adventures. The company lists a customer service number, but the number below is for Momentum Advantage.

GardenBurger was founded in 1982 by Paul Wenner in Gresham, Oregon, at Wenner’s restaurant. In 1985, the company incorporated under the name Wholesome and Hearty Foods, Inc.

The company produces and distributes vegetarian and vegan style “hamburgers”. The original vegetarian burger is made up of mushrooms, rice, oats, cheese, eggs, garlic and onions. Other “burgers” include Sun Dried Tomato, Black Bean Chipotle Burgers, and Portabella Burgers. In 2005 the company filed for bankruptcy, but continued to operate by going private. In 2007, GardenBurger was purchased by the Kellogg Company.
Although GardenBurgers has plants in Irvine, California, headquarters are located in Battle Creek, Michigan, where Kellogg’s has their headquarters.
