Originally founded in 1995 as a managed solutions provider to businesses, Joseph Purcell created the Global Cash Card app in 2002.

The company designed and operates a proprietary platform which offers payroll services to businesses, allowing companies to stop issuing paper checks and pay via the Global Cash Visa or Mastercard. Employees can access their funds via ATMs and a mobile app.

History

The mobile app also allows employees to pay bills directly from their accounts at no charge. The cards can also be loaded with funds from other sources and also offers a rewards program towards other services.

In 2017, financial giant ADP stated that they had acquired Global Cash Card for an undisclosed sum.

Global Cash Card currently has a B rating with the Better Business Bureau with 220 complaints listed as of May 2019.

Company headquarters are located in Irvine, California.

Denis Brooks loved raspberry wine and believed that others might enjoy it as well. He and his wife Sharon started Deer Creek Winery in 2009, using raspberries grown on their 100-acre farm in Shippenville, Pennsylvania.

Denis estimates that they have produced about 1 million bottles of wine since the company’s inception. In 2016, the company opened The Inn at Deer Creek, which is attached to the main winery. It offers 8 luxury bed and breakfast rooms.

In August 2018, Deer Creek Wine moved their brick and mortar store from the Clearview Mall to Main Street in Butler County, Pennsylvania.

The company hosts numerous events throughout the year, including “Murder Mystery Dinner”, a holiday show, and a cornhole tournament.

In addition to its flagship raspberry wine, the company also offers a wide variety of other wines, including cranberry, country-style honey mead, and red Pennsylvania table wine.

Michelle Cerriker was a successful esthetician and makeup artist in Los Angeles, California, for many decades. After going through multiple surgeries for breast cancer, Michelle wanted to create products that would restore her beautiful hair and skin without the usual chemical additives.

Blumen was founded in 2017. The company’s products include cosmetics, shampoo, and skin care products that are vegan-friendly and use only natural ingredients, such as mango oil and white tea.

History

Cerriker states that her products are never tested on animals and they are gluten-free and derived from organic products.

Blumen recently partnered with Mad Mind Studios for an intense marketing program.

Jim and Margaret Knudson had never heard of tacos before they ate some at a friends house in 1949. In fact, much of the US had yet to hear about Mexican tacos. Jim, known in his town as Jimboy, decided tacos would be a hit. He converted a trailer and took it to Kings Beach, Lake Tahoe, California. He was right.

Franchising began out of Sacramento, California, in 1969. Today, there are 40 locations throughout California, Texas, and Washington. In 2013, the company announced that it would go international with locations in India.

While Jimboy’s Tacos has been criticized for not being authentic Mexican tacos, the company doesn’t advertise them as such, calling them the “original American taco.
