iOffice was founded in 2002 by current CEO Mark Peterson. The company offers management software which makes managing all aspects of a business easier.

Using SaaS and cloud applications, this integrated workplace management (IWMS) and facilities management platform help organizations to manage their business operations and workflows. Users can choose from ten modules with management features for space, move, service requests, assets, visitors, and mail.

iOFFICE enables users to store multiple building floor plans and calculate space utilization in a variety of ways, such as occupancy, room type or by groups such as cost center, project team, organization level and more. Users can manage room reservations and book space, invite guests using calendar functions, coordinate services like AV equipment and get turn-by-turn directions for space management.

History

In January 2020, iOffice acquired conference room reservation start-up Teem and We Work.

iOffice serves more than 70,000 users every business day.

Headquarters for the company are located in Houston, Texas.

4Ocean

4Ocean was founded by Alex Schulze and Andrew Cooper after the pair took a diving vacation in Indonesia. The men were shocked by the amount of trash and floating plastic that their boat driver had to pass through before finding clear water.

4Ocean is a for-profit company that sells bracelets and uses part of the proceeds to remove the plastic and other trash from oceans around the globe. In March 2020, the company placed a series of harbor skimmers, which collects the trash that frequents boat harbors automatically.

To date, the company says it has removed 8 million pounds of garbage and hopes to remove 10 million by the end of 2020.

History

In September 2019, 4Ocean pledged 1 percent of all sales to other environmental causes, not only ocean-based groups.

4Ocean does not accept donations since it is a for-profit company. Some have criticized the corporation for not being more transparent about how much revenue the company generates vs how much is actually spent on cleaning projects.

4Ocean maintains a corporate office in Boca Raton, Florida.

Mango’s Tropical Cafe, frequently called Mango’s, actually got its start back in the 1970s as a personal care residence. Over a decade or so, movie stars and singing sensations would come here to relax in the sun and take a vacation.

In 1991, however, everything changed when the company began offering premium entertainment and gourmet food. Mango’s Tropical Cafe was born.

Today, this popular nightclub/restaurant/bar is one of the top destinations in Florida, with the original location in Miami and the second one in Orlando. It is not uncommon for guests to find celebrities of all kinds enjoying the music and food.

History

Rap artist Pitbull, a part-owner of Voli Vodka, is often seen at the location, enjoying his own brand of low-calorie vodka.

The restaurant has won awards for some of its menu items and in 2018, introduced an a la carte menu.

Schroeder’s Department Store Corporate Office

Brothers Peter and Joseph Schroeder opened Schroeder’s Department Store in 1891. The original building was across the street from where the store stands today. In 1899, the father of the brothers purchased the three-story building across the street and even paid to have bricks shipped in from the port of Sturgeon Bay and delivered via train.

The store has since survived two World Wars, the Great Depression, the recession in 2008, and nearly every other competing store in the area. One way in which the company has found a means of surviving is renting out the now unused portions on the upper floors. The company likens it to a shopping mall without walls.

The company published a book, including old photographs of the business, in June 2018.

History

Two sisters, AJ Schroeder-Ashenbrenner, and Teresa Kronforst, whose great-grandfather was Joseph Schroeder, are the last Schroeder’s to operate the business. Their father John, who ran the store virtually by himself, unexpectedly passed away from cancer in 2008.

Schroeder’s Department Store still has its corporate office in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

American Country Home Store

Maggie Wynja loved classic Americana styled furniture and accessories. However, living in Ames, Iowa, she found that she had to travel pretty far to find the things she loved, so she opened her own shop right in her hometown.

The American Country Home Store features quality made, solid pine furniture, rugs, sofas, wicker furniture, and bedding. The company opened an online store in 2010 so that others around the country could share her taste in furniture and motifs.

The company once was an authorized dealer for Yield House catalogs, but today they offer their own catalog of items, which is also featured on the iPad.

American Country Home Store still maintains headquarters in Ames, Iowa.
