In September 2019, GoodRx acquired the telemedicine company HeyDoctor and rebranded the telemedicine platform as GoodRX Care. The platform allows individuals to consult with a doctor online and obtain a prescription for certain types of medications at a cost of $20 as of December 2019, regardless of insurance status. Medical testing services, which vary in price, are also offered through the platform.

In February 2020, Consumer Reports stated that GoodRx shared user data information, such as the name of the drug that was being searched, with companies such as Facebook and Google.

A few days later, GoodRx says that they have stopped sharing this information with Facebook.

The company specializes in out-of-print or hard-to-find titles, but a wide range of popular novels and non-fiction books are also available.

New author Casey McQuiston has revealed both of her novels at the Brooklyn-based Books are Magic bookstore.

Co-founder and owner Emma Straub says it was a struggle to keep bookstores open and profitable before Covid but found that operating an online bookstore was actually easier than she imagined it would be.

And while New York is lifting the mask mandate in many areas, Books are Magic says that they will still enforce the use of face masks for now.

College roommates David Spratte and Kasper Kubica didn’t have much in common, but they discovered that they both suffered from hyperhidrosis, a condition that causes excessive sweating, usually on the hands and feet but it can occur anywhere on the body.
