Evine Live was founded in 1990. The original name of the company was ValueVision. The company operates an online and television home shopping network where customers can purchase items they see by calling or by going online to place their order.

The company was sold, in part, to NBC in 2000 and renamed ShopNBC.  It was later reacquired by ValueVision, who renamed the company ShopHQ in 2013.

Today, the ShopHQ network has been renamed Evine Live. The channel is carried on Dish, DirecTV,  AT&T U-verse and Verizon Fios, as well as being found on many local stations and the Roku channel line up. Evine Live is publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol: EVLV.

GetSafe Corporate Office

Founded in 2015 by current CEO Tim Westphal, the company specializes in a do-it-yourself type of home alarm or home security system. The company offers a no contract plan, where users can simply pay month by month. The equipment is purchased online and installed by the consumer. This makes the system perfect for renters.

GetSafe offers a basic type of home or small office security system with a monitoring hub that uses wifi to notify clients of alerts on their smart phone or computers. In case of a power outage, the system connects via 3G or 4G. In addition to flood sensors, smoke detectors, door opening monitors and motion detectors, the company also offers 85 decibel sirens and motion activated cameras.

The company is headquartered in Concord, California. It has plans to expand its camera line to include a wireless 720p HD camera later in 2016.

Taco Tico Corporate Office

Taco Tico was founded in 1962 by Dan Foley in Witchita, Kansas. The company operates a chain of fast food style Mexican restaurants with the emphasis on tacos. The original meat recipe was a huge hit and the company expanded rapidly in the 70’s and 80’s.

Foley sold the restaurant chain to a former KFC executive who stopped using the original taco meat recipe and substituted a cheaper, frozen ground meat. The new flavor was unpopular and business began to wane. In 2013, 10 locations were closed by Kansas state due to unpaid taxes. The company later filed for bankruptcy.

A new owner has since reopened several locations. Today, the company has 36 locations in 6 states, including Kansas, with plans to open at least 4 more locations in 2016. The company has returned to the original meat recipe and has discarded plans to allow further franchising.

The chain has opened several new locations in the past two years, including an 8th location in Witchita, Kansas, and a second restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky in February 2019.

National Wholesale Liquidators was founded in 1984 by Eva Rosen. The company operates a chain of discount stores that sell closeout, discontinued, or slightly irregular items such as food, appliances, furniture, electronics, bedding, and seasonal items such as barbeques or Christmas trees.  The company states it often has more than 120,000 items for sale every week.

At its peak, the company had 50 locations before it filed for bankruptcy in 2008. Approximately 35 of the 45 stores were closed when Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings turned into Chapter 7 liquidation.

Current CEO Scott Rosen acquired some of the assets and formed NSC Holdings, Inc. The company has since reopened 11 locations in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
