Penn Station Subs was founded in 1985 by Jeff Osterfeld. He already owned Jeffrey’s Deli in Ohio, but while on a trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he discovered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. He tried out the recipe at his deli and found that the popularity was overwhelming. He opened his first Penn Station Sub shop in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Today, Penn Station Subs operates a chain of sandwich shops which feature the cheesesteak sandwich, 14 different sandwiches, hand-cut French fries, sourdough bread, salads, and fresh squeezed lemonade. As of 2015, the company had 308 franchises in 15 states.

The company was named #146 on Entrepreneur Magazine’s list of Top 500 Franchises in the US. In mid-2018, Penn Station Subs announced that it planned an aggressive expansion of its locations, including tripling the number of restaurants in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In early 2023, the company announced the opening of new locations in Nebraska and the greater Cincinnati, Ohio, area.

Yuengling Brewery, founded in 1829 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, is the oldest brewing company in America. It was founded by David Jungling, a German immigrant. He changed his name to Yuenling, thinking it sounded less German. The original company name was Eagle Brewery. The original location burned down in 1831, forcing the company to move to its current location.

As of 2011, the company was tied with the Boston Beer Company in sales. The company is still family owned and operated, with Richard Yuengling, Jr. as the 5th generation’s current owner and CEO. The company uses hops grown in Washington and corn from Minnesota for its products.

Yuengling Brewery offers 10 types of beer, discontinuing only two flavors in its history. Richard “Dick” Yuenling was the recent center of a controversy when he publicly stated that he supported Donald Trump for President in 2016. Service King Collision Repair was founded in 1976 by Eddie Lennox in Dallas, Texas. The company operates a chain of auto collision repair shops in 21 states, with most locations being in Texas. The company is the largest provider of auto body repair services in the state of Texas, and one of the largest independently owned collision repair shops in the country.

Gino’s East Corporate Office

Gino’s East was founded in 1966 by two taxi drivers, Fred Bartoli and Sam Levine, along with their friend George Loverde. This trio wanted to make a pizza that was unlike every other pizza. Gino’s East is known for its Chicago-style deep dish pizza, with the toppings in reverse. Pizzas have cheese on the bottom, then toppings, then sauce.

Today’s Gino’s East has 10 locations, with Texas franchise locations being operated by ATX Brands, which owns the copyright in that state. The company also owns a brewery with the same name. When 5 Rabbit Brewery decided that they would no longer supply beer to Trump Tower in Chicago, they took that batch and relabeled it “Chinga Tu Pelo” (F**K Your Hair). Gino’s East purchased every single bottle.
