Fashion to Figure Corporate Office

Fashion to Figure was founded in New York, New York, in 2002 by two great grandsons of Lena Bryant, Michael and Nicholas Kaplan. These brothers wanted to create another plus sized women’s clothing store. The name comes from a quote from their great grandmother, who once said in an interview that women should not change their figures to suit fashion, but should bring fashion to the figure.

The company operates a chain of plus sized women and teenage girls clothing, sizes 12 to 26. As of late 2016, the company has 26 locations and secures their inventory from more than 100 fashion vendors. Current CEO Michael Kapalan says that the company feels that a wide array of vendors can offer their clients more choices.

Fashion to Figure has readily available sales associates, which help customers in choosing the correct style and designer for their shape. The company offers dresses, swimsuits, jeans,footwear and active wear.

As of March 29, 2021, Fashion to Figure stores has reported that it had to let 263 employees go due to store closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Carino’s Italian Restaurant Corporate Office

Carino’s Italian Restaurant was founded in 1997 by Norman Abdallah and Creed Ford III in Austin, Texas. The company is Fired Up, Inc, but does business under the Carino’s name.

The company operates a chain of casual Italian restaurants. The original name was Johnny Carino’s, which was changed in 2006 to Carino’s Italian Grill, then simply Carino’s Italian in 2009.

At its peak the company had 170 locations, most of them franchised, in 30 states. However, after filing for bankruptcy in 2014 and again in 2016, many of the locations closed permanently. Today, there are approximately 55 locations that are still open.

In October 2020, Famous Dave’s agreed to co-brand with Carino’s, allowing Carino’s to serve as ghost kitchens.

Twin Peaks Restaurant was founded in Lewisville, Texas, by Randy DeWitt and Scott Gordon in 2005. The company operates a chain of sports bar/restaurants that feature scantily clad female waitresses. Like Hooters, these restaurants are sometimes called “Breastrants”.

The company has experienced a growth rate of 30 to 40% and, as of October of 2015, has 73 locations in 24 states. The company has a mixed amount of franchises and corporate owned locations. Twin Peaks is a subsidiary of Front Burner Restaurants.

Twin Peaks Restaurant announced a new CEO, Starlette Johnson, in October of 2015. She was the former COO of the restaurant chain.

In May of 2015, a gunfight between gang members broke out in the franchised Twin Peaks Restaurant in Waco, Texas. Nine members of a biker gang were killed and 18 injured. This led to the removal of the franchisee, who disregarded warnings, and the permanent closure of the restaurant.
