5 Rabbit Brewery Corporate Office

5 Rabbit Brewery, also called 5 Rabbit Cerveceria, was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 201 by current CEO Andres Araya. The company wanted to make a brewery in America, but with a Mexican flavor. The name comes from a historical myth regarding the 400 rabbit children of the maguey plant, from which number 5 Rabbit was considered to be the leader.

The brewery produces a wide variety of beers, including one made from grasshoppers. Other beers include 5 Vulture, 5 Lizard, Huitzi (pronounced Wheat see), and Vida Y Muerte (Life and Death).

In June of 2015, the company announced that it would pull all of its products from Trump hotels and casinos and would no longer do business with his companies due to disparaging statements made by Donald Trump regarding Mexicans. The beer pulled from these locations was relabeled “Chinga Tu Pelo” (F-your hair). All Chinga Tu Pelo beers were purchased by Gino’s East.

Synchrony Bank Financial Corporate Office

Synchrony Financial, sometimes called Synchrony Bank, was founded in 2003 originally as a finance division of General Electric. The original name of the company was GE Capital Retail Finance, which offered consumer financing, credit, and loyalty programs.

Synchrony is the largest provider of private label credit cards in the US. Companies that use Synchrony for their credit cards include Amazon, CheapoAir, Walmart, Lowe’s, and Discount Tire. CareCredit, which is used for elective health care procedures, is also through Synchrony Bank. The company went public on the NYSE in 2014 and is publicly traded under the ticker symbol SYF.

Synchrony Financial has $14.28  billion in revenue in 2018 and employs 16,000 persons. The company agreed to pay $225 million in 2014 for deceptive credit card practices, mostly stemming from add-on charges during telemarketing calls. These add-ons included items such as debt cancellation agreements, for which customers were charged, but were not told that these had been added to their accounts.

In July 2020, representatives from Synchrony Bank stated that when the $600 a week payments end in July for those unemployed due to the coronavirus, credit card payments would go into default. 

In September 2022, Synchrony Bank raised its interest rate to 2.05% on its premium savings plan.

Today, Vivint is a smart home service provider. The company was acquired by The Blackstone Group in 2012 for $2 billion. In late 2016, Vivint claimed to have more than 1 million clients in the US and Canada. The company is perhaps best known for the Vivint Doorbell Camera, which allows clients to see and respond to anyone who rings the doorbell at their home or office, giving the impression that they are in the building.

In July 2018, Best Buy stated that they were reconsidering their partnership with Vivint, which began in May 2017. This partnership allowed a few Vivint employees to work from Best Buy locations to help solve problems customers might have with products, as well as answer questions.

In late September 2020, a Canadian homeowner was shocked to discover that the former owner of her house had complete control over her Vivint Home Security system. 

Vivint has received numerous awards, including Best Buy from Consumer Reports in 2016, Best Product of the Year by PC Magazine in 2015, and two Gold Stevie awards, along with two Silver Stevie awards, the latest in 2016 for Outstanding Customer Service. Vivint frequently receives customer service awards and generally has positive customer reviews.

In October 2020, USNews listed Vivint as one of the top home security systems.

Randolph Engineering was founded in 1972 in Randolph, Massachusetts, by Jan Waszkiewicz and Stanley Zaleski. Waszkiewicz was a Polish immigrant who previously worked for the American Optical Company.
