In 2022, the company released new food items and flavors to help drum up business, including Tiki Lemonade, and Jalepeno dipping sauce. 

On tax day, April 18, 2022, the company offered $4.18 off any order of $10 or more.

Oscar Mayer was the first company to volunteer for the federal meat inspection program in 1906.

The company continues to sell meat and cold cut products, such as hot dogs, ham, and bacon. Kraft Heinz acquired the company in 1989. Oscar Mayer is often remembered due to their popular commercials in the 1960’s  and early 1970’s, which featured a song that included the name, as well as the company’s ” Wienermobile”, which is a car with a huge hot dog perched on top. This item was also a toy offered inside packages of hot dogs in the 1960’s.

In June 2002, the company agreed to pay OSHA a fine of $211,000 following the death of a worker due to an ammonia release. The company also agreed to conduct a safety training of all employees. 

Today, Oscar Mayer has more than 1,650 employees. The company maintains a corporate office in Madison, Wisconsin.
