Hunt a Killer Corporate Office

A veteran with 15 years of active military service behind him, Ryan Hogan returned to college but found himself turning again and again to mystery solving.

His first entrepreneurial attempt was an obstacle course type of game that involved zombies and finding the way out of a maze. The game was called Tough Mudder, but Hogan realized that not everyone would be able to attend or physically try this type of game.

Hunt a Killer was founded in 2016. For each mystery, clients are sent a box filled with clues, old letters, perhaps newspaper clippings. There is a question to answer and when a client believes they have the answer, they send an email with their answer, and they will receive a reply with either more clues (if the answer was wrong) or reasons why this answer was correct.

Hunt a Killer took the #6 spot on the 2020 Inc. 5000 list for Fastest Growing Companies in America. The company had a three-year growth rate of 20,485 percent.

During the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent quarantine, demand for the game has skyrocketed. The company expects to double its annual revenue in 2020.

Hunt a Killer maintains a corporate office in Baltimore, Maryland.
