The company was purchased in 2005 by Philip Schram, Nader Masadeh and Haytham David, who streamlined operations and installed a more uniform system of management. Franchises began to grow rapidly after this time. Today, the company has more than 50 locations in 13 states the US and 16 international locations.

Buffalo Wings and Rings is undergoing renovations to change the darker, man-cave type of setting into one that is bright and more family friendly. The menu is constantly being re-evaluated as well, with the addition of some lighter menu items, including salads, wraps, and other “lighter” menu items.

In October 2021, the company announced that it was going to rebrand itself as Wings and Rings, minus the Buffalo.

When the truck broke down a few years later, Carvel was forced to sell his product by the roadside.
