Food Bazaar Corporate Office

Food Bazaar, founded in 1988, owns and operates a chain of supermarkets in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Founder Frances An, Korean born, but who lived for many years in Argentina, discovered when he moved to New York that many grocery items he was accustomed to buying were not available or were very difficult to find. He opened his own store in Queens, New York, with the idea that a wide variety of foods should be available to everyone.

The company offers imported food items from around the world to help people make authentic food dishes. The stores also carry natural and organic food items in addition to the usual meat, milk, and bread. As of 2016, the company had 25 locations in the tri-state area.  Food Bazaar regularly partners with numerous non-profit organizations by providing substantial food donations and hosting many community events year-round.

Food Bazaar is still owned and operated by the An family and has headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.

Chef Shuttle Corporate Office

Chef Shuttle, founded in 2014, is a food delivery service, originally in the Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee, areas. In June of 2017, the company as acquired by Bite Squad and operates as a subsidiary.

Originally offering service from approximately 450 restaurants, now that the company is a part of Bite Squad, they can now offer service in more than 15 states. Prices for Chef Shuttle are, at the time of this writing, far cheaper than Bite Squad, at about $1.99. Unlike previously, clients can now track their orders online and receive a text stating that the driver has arrived.

Gift cards and credits from Chef Shuttle will still be honored. Headquarters for the company will now be located at Bite Squad headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Factor 75 delivers organic, non-GMO meals to homes and businesses, as well as offers nutritional supplements and consulting. Foods are low glycemic, hormone and antibiotic-free, gluten-free, and contain no soy fillers, sugar, or artificial sweeteners. There are also dairy-free and Paleo options available. The company offers subscription plans for its customers, through which the orders are placed on an automated recurring basis.

The company is listed as #133 on the 2017 Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America. In 2016, the company had annual revenue of $5.6 million and a three-year growth rate of 2,938%. In 2011, Lone Star Funds put together a supermarket portfolio, which included Bi-Lo Markets, Winn-Dixie, Fresco y Mas, and Harvey’s Supermarkets. The company is now the fifth-largest conventional supermarket chain in the U.S. and the second-largest conventional supermarket in the southeast based on store count.

Currently, the company operates in 7 states and has 704 locations under the Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, Harvey’s and Fresco Y Mas names. The company continues to grow, mainly through acquisitions. In 2013, Southeastern Grocers acquired 22 Piggly Wiggly’s in South Carolina for  $35 million and in the same year, Bi-Lo acquired Harvey’s, Sweetbay and Reid’s banners for $265 million.

The Fresco Y Mas name was unveiled in 2016. This part of the Southeastern Grocers group is designed to appeal to the Hispanic market, with the name meaning “Fresh and More” in English.

Coni Reyes began Pampanga Foods out of her kitchen, selling traditional Filipino foods to local markets and other small vendors. The company was incorporated in 1994 and offers these same foods, only frozen, to a wide variety of distributors.

Today the company is the leading producer of packaged and frozen foods in the US and operates under the labels Pampanga, Cabalen, Mr. Swifts and private labels as well. Pampanga Foods are also sold internationally and via US Armed Force commissaries. In 2015 the company had an estimated annual revenue of $7.8 million.

Pampanga Foods has grown considerably over the years, moving three times to larger facilities. The company is now located in Anaheim, California, in a 20,000 square foot facility.
