College roommates David Spratte and Kasper Kubica didn’t have much in common, but they discovered that they both suffered from hyperhidrosis, a condition that causes excessive sweating, usually on the hands and feet but it can occur anywhere on the body.

After working with another student to develop a solution, Carpe was founded in 2014. Carpe lotion hit shelves in 8,000 drugstores across the U.S. in 2015. The company completed a $2.3 million financing in April 2018.

Carpe sells lotion and a deodorant that is designed to prevent excessive sweating.

Carpe has been such as success that both Spratte and Kubica stopped looking for work after they completed college. Both work full-time for the company they created.

Carpe is often listed first on review sites as the best clinical strength deodorant.
