The company began by offering other businesses food delivery and catering services. In 2005, the company began offering its services to individuals. Seamless offers service in every large city in America, with more than 12,000 restaurants and serving more than 2 million customers in the US and UK.

In 2013, Seamless and GrubHub merged their companies. The resulting merge resulted in offering clients more than 25,000 restaurants to choose from, as well as giving the company an astounding 130,000 orders, on average, each day.

Houlihan’s Restaurant and Bar Corporate Office

Houlihan’s Restaurant and Bar, usually referred to as simply Houlihan’s, was founded in 1972 in Kansas City, Kansas, by Paul Robinson and Joe Gilbert. The company operates a chain of casual restaurants, most of them with full bars, across the US.

As of 2015, the company had 84 restaurants in 18 states, with approximately 60 percent of these being franchised operations. Since 2006, a private equity firm, Goldner Hawn Johnson Morrison, has held a majority ownership stake in the restaurant chain. The company has said that they are looking to expand the number of locations in 2017.

Houlihan’s Restaurant offers a wide variety of food, including center cut steaks, flat bread pizzas, salads, hamburgers and wraps. Bars serve wine, wings, and “Small Bites” appetizers that often win local “Happy Hour” awards.

McAlister’s Deli Corporate Office

McAlister’s Deli was founded in 1989 in Oxford, Mississippi, by retired dentist Dr. Don Newcomb. The original restaurant was a renovated gas station. Most locations today still copy the old-fashioned “gas station” look today, including black and white floor tiles, and “garage” style doors.

Today, McAlister’s Deli operates a chain of 350 mostly franchised locations in 26 states. The company offers catering services, as well as a large selection of sandwiches, salads, oversized baked potatoes, and boxed “to-go” lunches. McAlister’s operates as a subsidiary of Focus Brands.

The company has received several awards, including Best Franchise Deal in 2014 by QSR, being listed in FastCasual’s list of Top 100 Movers and Shakers in 2013, as well as being named Top Casual Fast Food award in both 2013 and 2014.

Braum’s was founded in 1968 by Mary and Bill Braum of Tuttle, Oklahoma. The company operates a chain of casual burger restaurants, small grocery stores, and ice cream shops in Oklahoma.

As of late 2013, the company had 128 stores in Oklahoma, 13 in Missouri, 13 in Arkansas, 99 in Texas, and 27 in Kansas. Since all goods are made or grown fresh at the farm in Tuttle, the company will not open a location more than 300 miles from the farm to ensure freshness.

The Braum family owns 8 farms, with a total of 40,000 acres. It is the only ice cream maker in America which owns the cows that provide the cream for their products.

The company has won numerous awards, including Best App for Business Travelers in 2013 by Travel and Leisure, as well as making the top 10 list of Budget Airfare Tools Every Traveler Should Know in 2012 by Mashable.

Kayak noted that, as the coronavirus began to emerge in January 2020, US destinations and Mexico were among the most requested vacation sites.

Due to the coronavirus, Kayak was forced to lay off 400 employees in May 2020.
