I almost Died using the zip car. The car battery died, I was caught up in a blizzard practically in the middle of nowhere, my children and I where stuck in the car for 5 hours waiting for help to come. The maintenance was over due and when i got the car there was no gas, there where ashes as if someone had been smoking in the car, and the tires pressure was very low to the point that it seemed like we had a flat tire while driving in a blizzard. While driving i almost crashed due to the fact that i slid on ice, my children and i where in danger because of your car. I would like to have a refund, now.

I rented a Zipcar for 24 hrs. Cost was 143.00 went to pick car up and it wasn’t there. They have me another car and had to travel from Bronx to Manhattan to get it. They said it would be the same price. And they decided to charge me another 256.00 on top of the 143.00. the very next day I rented another Zipcar for 24 hours for the cost of 141.00 went to pick up the car it wasn’t there has to walk to another location for another car but it has mechanical issues and want safe to drive so had to walk to another location for a third car and then they charged me 248.00 dollars on top of the 141.00! Let alone reach car I received was absolutely filthy, had to pay out of pocket to clean car. And they all smelled overwhelming of cigarette and weed smoke! Cars are smashed up, filthy, smelly, stained, and not mechanically maintained! For the cost you can rent a car at Hertz for 3 days for the price of one day with ZIPCAR! It was a hassle to get reimbursed the money they took from me. The hidden fees are ridiculous. They’re mistake on over charging my account. Took almost 800 from me in 2 days still only got half of it back! No compensation for their mistake. Except a 30.00 credit. When my overdraft fees are 36.00 for each overdraft they caused by taking the extra money! Not every has station takes the gas card. Paid out of pocket and wouldn’t reimburse because the receipt only had the date not the time! I’m so frustrated that they do this to people. We are good costumers, we return car extra clean, smells good, washed. Air in tires etc. And nothing in return.

Zipcar is extremely unprofessional and unpredictable. I had issues dropping off cars (stuck due to weather, behind police, stuck in traffic, ect). Over the phone, I was told because I reported the reasons I was slightly late, I wouldn’t be punished. A “manager” named Denise closed my account not knowing that there’s recorded calls of reps saying I would not be in trouble. Denise closed my account after I was promised it wouldn’t be closed.

Why is it so hard to find information on establishing a new Zipcar location /franchise in my town? I helped with the local General Plan revision a few years ago, and one of the measures advocated was a Zipcar-like service to reduce the need privately owned motor vehicles. Just sold my old pickup and have no desire to resume private automobile ownership, and I am extremely motivated to start a Zipcar-type service here. Left a message two weeks ago regarding this, at a site not addressing this matter in your domain, with an assurance my query would be answered in 7-10 business days. Why are you not more user-friendly about such a business-encouraging question??? Guess I must look for an alternative to you, is that it?

I have been with Zipcar for 5 years now. In the past year or 18 months their services have been nothing but short of disaster. I do not recoomend anyone to join Zipcar. Their services suck to say the least!

Recently I used a Zip Car through a Corporate Account.
I left a City issued laptop in the vehicle and although I understand the company is not responsible I believe Customer Service for any business should be paramount.
After speaking with two customer service agents I was told the users who had the vehicle would be contacted however this was not done. Upon speaking with a Supervisor I was advised none of the members would be contacted since it is not the companies responsibility.
I would like assistance into this matter as soon as possible as this laptop has sensitive information before getting the police involved which would than involve your company.
Again this is a very important matter and appreciate all assistance into this matter

I sign up with the account my application was reject saying I did not pay the application fee it was insufficient funds mined you my account had enough money in it. Then the representative was nasty and so was the supervisor Itzel! I want to know how can I reach out to corporate to take action because you guys should not treat people this way. It’s disgusting

I Was A Loyal Customer With Zip, Getting A Day Or Two Rentals, Even Though I Owned My Own Vehicle. Spending $1000s Of Dollars To Avoid Using Up My Own Gas. Also Just For A Convenient Means To Get Places Without Using Lift, Or Uber, Instead I Was Slapped With Fees & Charges. Called 617-995-4231. Dialed “0” and was disconnected each of four times I called after three rings. Frustrating.
Next tried what looked like an email address for Zip Car only to be taken to the website.
I tried calling your CS # only to be told my question that I posed as a general question was not general but wanting to get information about my daughters account because I entered her membership number and did say I was calling about something that involved her this weekend with Zip Car. When I said then lets rewind and let me pose as a general question, I just want to know what your policy is if Zip Car cancels the reservation, not the driver because the previous driver still has the car and it is not available for the person who shows up at the reservation pick-up time. Can someone help me with an answer to this question?

Zipcar put my daughter in an unsafe situation beginning at 11:30 p.m., Aug. 27, 2017 until 4 a.m., Aug. 28th. The car would not start and your employees, Heather, Patrick, Michele, and Kayla did not have the resources, the authority, nor the willingness to rectify the situation. I will be forwarding a detailed letter to your CEO, CFO, and COO in Boston. I also will be cc’ing the Dean at the University of San Francisco to encourage the University to discontinue their partnership with Zipcar. Zipcar is a shameful and lacks customer service which put my daughter in harms way.

While I love your company and cars I am nevertheless really frustrated that so far, you have not managed to place any cars in the progressive neighborhood of Silver Lake in Los Angeles – in fact, an entire parking garage is needed here filled with zip cars! Neighbors and clients all talk about it and we just don’t get it that you are skipping business in this part of town. Silver Lake residents are forward thinking, some ditching their cars to take busses or bikes, and to have a bunch of zip cars available would be just fantastic. There are places like the Silver Lake library, many apartment buildings, Wholefoods or others who would happily host. How can we help to get you, and us, going??

Your customer service is 100% awful. (If you can actually reach someone). Service reps from another country, didn’t understand my question and refused to transfer me to someone else. Local (Chicago) Zipcar office NEVER answers the phone! What happened to this company?!
