The company does business in 14 countries around the world, with US headquarters in Maryland, and international headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. Several companies have already been acquired, including Project Wedding from eHarmony, and GayWeddings.com.

WeddingWire has won numerous awards for their services, including making the Forbes list of Most Promising Companies of 2014 and the Inc. 5000 list. The company states that it now has vendors in almost every state in the US.

Kay Jewelers Corporate Office

Kay Jewelers was founded in 1910 by Henry Shaw in Akron, Ohio. The company is a subsidiary of Sterling Jewelers, which is owned by Signet Jewelers. The company offers fine jewelry, with their specialty being diamond wedding and engagement rings.

Kay Jewelers, along with the other Sterling Jeweler names such as Marks & Morgan, and Belden, is the second biggest jewelry seller in the US. The company offers a wide range of insurance and cleaning plans on almost all jewelry that is sold.

Sterling Jewelers, along Kay Jewelers, were accused in an online story, published May of 2016, which stated that customers discovered that their diamonds and other gemstones were removed and replaced with cheaper quality stones when their items were left for cleaning or repair. The company denies these allegations.

In response, the company has stepped up its store promotions and is offering bigger discounts to attract new customers in hopes of bolstering the parent company’s sagging stock.

One of Signet’s subsidiaries, Sterling, was accused in 2017 of gender discrimination. The CEO retired for “health reasons.” There are at least 2 class action lawsuits claiming gender discrimination that are pending.

In May 2019, the Consumer Protection Bureau announced an $11 million settlement with Signet/Kay Jewelers after receiving complaints that customers were signed up for credit cards that they did not authorize.

A law enforcement officer was denied entry into a Kay Jewelers location because of his service weapon. After the story went viral on social media, the company quickly issued an apology and stated that its “no weapon” policy should not have been applied to a uniformed police officer.

In December 2022, the current CEO, Gina Drosos, was credited for breathing new life back into the company.

The company continues to expand, with plans to open a new location in Columbia in 2016.

Tiffany’s manufactures approximately 60% of the items sold, with the remaining coming from third party sources, some of these from overseas. The company produces a corporate catalog each year, as well as a smaller version, featuring more moderately priced items, for consumers. David’s Bridal is a chain of clothing stores that specialize in wedding dresses, prom gowns, and formal wear.

David’s Bridal was founded in 1945 by David Reisberg when he opened a bridal boutique in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In 1972 Phillip Youtie bought the store and, over the next 16 years, opened 17 more stores.

In 1990 Youtie teamed up with his childhood friend Steven Erlbaum. Together they incorporated the company and launched the first “David’s Bridal Wearhouse” which was a 12,000 square-foot no-frills bridal store which offered about a 35% discount on wedding gowns.

By 1995 the chain had grown to 36 stores.

Today David’s Bridal is the largest retail chain specializing in bridal gowns with more than 300 stores in 45 U.S. states as well as Puerto Rico, Canada, and the U.K.

David’s Bridal also sells wedding accessories such as veils, shoes, invitations, and gifts.

In November 2018, the company filed for bankruptcy, unexpectedly locking all stores, with many brides unable to retrieve their dresses.

David’s Bridal emerged from bankruptcy less than two years later.

In July 2020, the company came out with matching face masks for brides who want to be safe from the coronavirus.

The chain is owned by private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and maintains headquarters in Conshohocken, Pennslyvania.
