History

The company received $10.26 million in Series A funding in August of 2007. In 2010, the company raised another $25 million in Series C funding. In March of 2014, the company added funding for small businesses and went public on the NYSE in December of 2014 under the ticker symbol: LC.

In 2018, the founder and CEO Renaud Laplanche was forced to resign after it was discovered that he and his family had taken out loans without being transparent about them.

LendingClub began offering loans for vehicles or refinancing of vehicles in April of 2015. Lenders make money on interest, which varies from 6% to 26%. Company headquarters are located in San Francisco, California.

Skolnick was operating his own landscaping business while still in high school. Customers always asked about trimming or removing trees. Skolnick believed this was an untapped business potential and opened his own company.

In addition to trimming trees, the company also removes trees, removes dead wood, trims shrubs and hedges, as well as keeping trees healthy or solves tree health problems. Tree planting and staking is also available. The company currently has 60 locations in 7 states, with plans to open at least 10 franchises each year.

Cafe Toscano was founded in Aurora, Ohio, in 2007. The company operates a mid-sized, upscale Italian food restaurant. The restaurant was located a few miles from another Italian restaurant, Bella Donna, which had been in business for nearly 20 years. Competition was stiff. The owner of Bella Donna met with Cafe Toscano owners, who decided that a partnership was a better way to work out their differences, rather than each trying to force the other out of business.

Cafe Toscano is a small to mid-sized restaurant (55 seats) that is more upscale than Bella Donna, which is more of a family restaurant. Cafe Toscano offers a wine selection, along with pasta dishes, soups, seafood, pizza and more. The restaurant is now open for both lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

The company has plans to open a larger, more casual restaurant, which will seat 120, near the original location. At this time, headquarters for both restaurants remain in Aurora, Ohio.

The company has had a 50-year relationship with Cooper Tire, which helps to manufacture Hercules Tires. Hercules Tire is a subsidiary of American Tire Distributors.

In 2022, Hercules Tire introduced 6 new products to its lineup, including agricultural tires.

Also in 2022, the company added 300 dealers to its network.

Hercules Tire has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Taking a gamble, he put an ad in the yellow pages. Wanting to be listed first, he came up with the name Adee Plumbing. Soon, Stephan had all the work he could handle.

Today, Adee Plumbing is owned and operated by Jack Stephan, Jr. The company still offers plumbing service, heating repair and installation, as well as air duct cleaning, and air conditioning service and installation. In the 1960’s and 70’s, the company ran a popular commercial which asked “Who knows what lurks in your plumbing system? (the answer) Adee Do!” This commercial became so well known that many people thought the name of the company was Adee Do.

Corporate offices are still located in Los Angeles, California. Adee Plumbing has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, as well as a 4.5 star rating on Yelp.
