Chef’s Real Cut Jerky was founded in 2011 by two co-workers,  Dennis Riedel and Blair Swiler. The pair would snack on beef jerky that Swiler made at home.  They decided to make larger batches and start selling it at the golf course where they worked.

ShipHawk was founded in 2012 when friends Jeremy Bodenhamer and Aaron Freeman found themselves frustrated by the difficulties of shipping larger items and antiquated software they encountered while working at a pack and ship store. The pair created ShipHawk to make shipping items easier and more cost effective.

Lauren James was founded in 2013 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Forced to stay in bed during a high risk pregnancy, Lauren Stokes decided to sketch dresses and coats to pass the time. Lauren’s husband began to have some of her designs printed on t-shirts, which sold out in days.

Today, the company sells more than 50,000 items each month on the eCommerce site, not including items that are sold to retail outlets. The company recently moved into a larger, 20,000 square foot facility in 2016 to handle the increased demand for their products. Between 2,000 and 5,000 dresses alone are sold each month. Most clothing items, and all dresses, are designed by Lauren and manufactured in Dallas, Texas.
