I’ve been employed by O.C. Jackson,Tn for 25 years. This the absolute WORST management I’ve EVER seen. For an example, I just worked 84 hours this week and get mandatory overtime Monday. How is this possible?? 24 of those being overtime I willing worked. Why did I willing work those hours? SO I WOULDN’T BE FORCED TO COME IN ON MY OFF WEEKEND!!!! This ridiculous overtime system in Jackson is based upon hours worked with opportunity to work; I cannot explain that as nobody knows how it works.
I will in affect have only one day off after working seven nights straight. And, by the way, changing from nights to days. In addition to this complaint, our so-called “team leader”, can’t do ANY jobs in that plant nor does he show initiatives to learning. We’re sick and tired of being over-worked and not being able to plan anything with our families for our scheduled weekend off as we don’t know if we’re going to be forced by mandatory overtime to work.
Owens Corning needs to investigate what is happening in Jackson, Tn. This plant is horribly managed!!

I am filing a complaint against one of your distribution contractors: American Dream Home. I live in Fishers, IN. They replaced my roof last month. The salesman tooted your name repeatedly telling me that they were as trustworthy and competent as OC. He was using your name to sell his company. They lied to me and they cheated me. The ins. specs show that they charged for work that was never done and don’t even do! e.g., clean copper panel, replace gutters, install storm collars, high grade screens, etc. They removed my $1800 gutter screens and tossed them into the trash! Then, they slipped a cheap, look-alike screen over the gutters and are charging me $467.83. They promised me a 40 year guarantee shingle, and gave me a 30 year dimensional shingle. . . the list goes on.
I hired a roof inspector and he listed 14 different defaults throughout the roof. He called the roof job “sloppy”. He took pictures. Without the pictures, I doubt if these defaults would have been corrected to code. Somebody saw the pictures and asked if my house was hit by a tornado. That’s how bad it was.
The invoice for this roof lists an ambiguous description and the bottom line of $18,467.11 I asked for an item line proposal. . . no answer. I know they are charging me for work that was not done. There are many retired people in this neighborhood. I can’t be alone with abuse from this company and their egregious business practices. They are wildly violating ethics and nothing happens.. I see Am Dream Home signs along the streets. I am sure no old person hired an inspector to check for code defaults.
I would like an invoice that lists for what I am paying. I want to pay only for work that was done. The costs in the specs do not equal the work done. Some of the costs that the insurance company is being charged. . . this company doesn’t even do!
Could you please help me get an honest invoice? This company toots your name as an example of how trustworthy and competent they are. And then they lie and they cheat.
They brag about OC, as that is who they are.. Their work is done under your name.

Hello,
I am a homeowner and I was shopping around for a company to replace insulation in my attic. I stumbled upon a company called AttiCat that is directly infringing on your copyright AttiCat.
The company is using your name to take advantage of the brand name in which Owens Corning built and created. It is advertising in home magazines, Angie’s List, Yelp. home advisor, BBB, and they even own a website as AttiCat (when you google atticat owens corning comes up, but you can access their website from their yelp page). However, the license it is using is under a completely different name. It is even using your photo from the Owens Corning website on their Yelp and website pages!!
It is clear that, although they could not open a company under your name Atticat, they continue to reap the benefits and credibility by advertising with it. The company is in the San Francisco Bay area.

I’d like to share my experience with someone who can fix the Wabash, IN plant. I was looking for a new job as a maintenance man because my current job was taking too much time from my family. I had an interview with your maintenance manager and 2 day shift supervisors. During this interview the assured me they work close to 40 hours a week and most overtime was optional. I accept the job offer later in the day when the HR manager calls to have me come do paperwork at 4:30 pm, I would end up making 3 separate trips to the plant to do paperwork that could have been done in one setting. I started on November 28, after having to delay a week because a had a family emergency. On my first day I walk in to a shop of mostly older men and 2 18 year old kids. I listen to the morning safety meeting and then get paired with the one of the 18 year old kids to “show me the ropes”. I found this offensive and like I was being set up for failure, I had worked maintenance before and had a decent background but I was to learn from a kid who just got out of highschool? The day was a waste I followed him around watching tasks that anyone that knows how to use tools could do. I decided after my first day that I wasn’t sure if I like this or if I needed to be looking for new empoyment. I get home and my wife tells me the 2nd shift supervisor who is a family friend to my in laws said they didn’t like me and I was going to be fired. I was on 1st shift and found this extremely unprofessional. I decide I won’t be going back and will find other employment, which disappointed me because I liked the pay and benefits Owens Cornering had set for Thermafiber. Fast forward to 12:39 am today it was supposed to be my first payday so I emailed the HR manager to see if I needed to pick up my check or if it was direct deposit, he said it was mailed to me. I had been counting on the extra 100 or so dollars in that check to help with bills I have. Yet I wasn’t notified to pick it up or anything of the sort. As you can see I am very unhappy with my whole experience and wanted to let an upper level of management know what is happening so it can be corrected. There was also gay bashing, foul language, and inappropriate comments mad all day and the maintenance supervisor told me that being from a military background it shouldn’t offend me, that is absolutely ridiculous I’m offend at the statement alone. I took pride in serving my country and was professional about it and he suggested I should put up with it because Army personnel are vulgar? I hope something can be fixed. Thanks for your time.
