Trulia was founded in 2005 when Stanford Business School graduates Pete Flint and Sami Inkinen were searching for off-campus housing. The pair was shocked to discover that the local real estate information available online was often insufficient, outdated, or both.

The pair created a simplified way to find rentals and home buying using technology already in existence.

The company originally was limited to properties in California. Soon after, with growing demand from listing agents wanting to give their listings more visibility nationwide, Trulia rolled out across the US less than a year later.

In July 2014, Zillow acquired Trulia for $3.5 billion.

In 2018, the company launched Trulia Neighborhoods to enable home buyers, sellers, and renters to find information about a particular neighborhood. This feature provides original photography, drone footage, reviews from local residents, and facts about each area.

In February 2023, Trulia announced that it was cutting back on office space at its headquarters building.

Pogo began as a few games that employees created and played at Total Entertainment Network. Realizing that they could load ads in the games, TEN began offering games online in 1998.

In 2001, Electronic Arts acquired Pogo from TEN for $40 million.

In 2003, the company created “Club Pogo”, a subscription-based game service with perks to subscribers including exclusive members-only rooms, no ad interruptions, graphic emoticons (smileys) (discontinued), private chat, “Pogo Minis”, AKA Avitars, and more.

Pogo games are a bit different than other online games in that users aren’t just playing a game solo, but rather they are playing inside a virtual room that allows other players to enter the room, compete, and chat while playing.

In December 2022, Pogo and Hasbro are collaborating to create RISK: Pogo Domination for both browsers and mobile devices. 

Pogo currently offers more than 50 casual games from makers like Pop Cap and Hasbro. All games are free with ads or users can sign up for subscriptions.

Norton Antivirus Corporate Office

Norton Antivirus was founded in 1990 by Peter Norton. The company manufactures anti-virus and malware software to protect retail users.

Symantec acquired the company in late 1990. Peter Norton and his company developed various DOS utilities including Norton Utilities, which did not include antivirus features. Symantec continued the development of acquired technologies.

Norton has been criticized over the years for being notoriously difficult to uninstall. The software frequently was bundled with other products on new computers and all attempts to completely uninstall the software are frequently unsuccessful.

Users have also been scammed by those posing as Norton employees.

Consumers have also complained that Norton itself has tried to scam them, insisting on payment to repair infected systems that were not actually infected
