The Mirror (Home Gym) Corporate Office

Brynn Putman, a former New York City ballet instructor, wanted to find a way to do a quality workout without leaving home when she was pregnant. She envisioned a high-tech fitness mirror where people could join classes, see instructors, as well as themselves, from the convenience of their own homes.

The Mirror was founded in 2016. Putnam had no way of knowing that her invention would become so popular due to the coronavirus and subsequent quarantine of 2020/2021.

Putnam sold her invention to Lululemon in November 2020 for an estimated $500 million in cash. Some feel that she may have sold too quickly and for too little.

The Mirror uses materials from the USA and the product is assembled in Mexico. While the product itself is a reasonable $1500, there is still a monthly fee involved, which varies.

Putnam, who remains CEO since the company is now a subsidiary of Lululemon, estimates that The Mirror will be a regular item in nearly all residences and that it will also be used to sell other products, such as shoes or workout clothing, within the next 10 years.
