FreeScoreOnline.Com Corporate Office

One Technologies, LLC doing business as FreeScoreOnline was founded in 2000 by brothers Alex and Roger Chang in San Francisco, California.

The company operates a website where people can check their credit rating with all 3 credit bureaus at no change. However, by using this service, clients only get to check their scores for free for the first 7 days, after which, their credit cards are charged a monthly fee.

While the company sells credit reports, credit scores, and credit monitoring under the ScoreSense brand name, ScoreSense charges a $1 “processing fee” to provide credit scores and credit reports to consumers who agree to a seven-day “free trial.” After seven days, customers are charged $29.95 a month by ScoreSense’s owner, One Technologies LLC.

The company uses several websites, including FreeScore360.Com, FreeScoreOnline.Com, and up to 40 different online URLs.

In 2020, the US Federal government fined One Technologies $22 million for fraudulent practices but it appears that even Google is clamping down on the word “free” in the company URLS.

FreeScoreOnline, AKA One Technologies LLC, maintains a corporate office in Dallas, Texas.

PETA Corporate Office

Ingrid Newkirk was studying in the US to become a stockbroker but after trying to leave some abandoned kittens in a shelter, she was horrified by the conditions and even more horrified when she discovered what happened to most of the animals.

Newkirk met Alex Pacheco at George Washington University. He also volunteered at the shelter. They moved in together and Newkirk convinced Pacheco to form the non-profit People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in 1980.

The group became well-known only a year later after disputing how monkeys were used in research. Pacheco went to the laboratory at night, taking photographs that showed the monkeys living in what the Institute for Laboratory Animal Research’s ILAR Journal called “filthy conditions.” He passed his photographs to the police, who raided the lab and arrested Taub. Taub was convicted of six counts of cruelty to animals, the first such conviction in the United States of an animal researcher; the conviction, though, was overturned on appeal.

PETA operates an animals rights platform that opposes using animals in any way, including for food, clothing, labor, entertainment, or research.

The organization is known for its aggressive media campaigns, which some say have hurt the organization more that it has helped animals.

In November 2021, one PETA member stripped himself naked and lay on the street next to fake turkeys to protest the traditional Thanksgiving meal.

PETA is also asking Americans to give turkeys a break and have a ThanksVegan celebration in 2021.

PETA maintains a corporate office in Norfolk, Virginia.

MyLife Corporate Office

Jeffrey Tinsley founded MyLife.Com originally under the name Reunion.Com in 2002.

The company is an information broker, gathering information from public sources and other sites, such as social media, to create “MyLife Public Page” about individuals that anyone can access.

The information available can range from home addresses, work history, age, phone numbers, current and past employers, photos, relatives, etc.

In 2007, after receiving $25 million in venture funding, the company changed its name to MyLife.Com.

In 2011, a lawsuit against MyLife said the company was engaging in false advertising practices, similar to what was alleged in a 2008 Classmates.Com class-action lawsuit. The suit also accused MyLife of false solicitation by offering monthly memberships and then charging members’ credit cards at the annual rate.

The class-action suit also accused MyLife of spamming contacts improperly gathered from the address books of those visiting the site.  U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken’s ruling consolidated the 2011 class-action lawsuit with two other fraud class actions against MyLife. Ultimately the lawsuit was dismissed.

In October 2021, the company was hit with another class-action lawsuit stating that the company violates the privacy of those who have never visited the site.

Also in October 2021, MyLife.Com had a C rating on the Better Business Bureau site with no accreditation. From 2018 to 2020, the BBB received almost 14,000 complaints about MyLife.Com.

MyLife maintains a corporate office in Los Angeles, California.
