Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill Corporate Office

Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill, originally called Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, but most often simply called Charlie Brown’s, was founded in 1966 in Warren, New Jersey by three business associates who wanted a restaurant nice enough for business lunches, as well as dinner out with friends or family.

The company operates a chain of steak and seafood restaurants whose specialty dish is prime rib and a special house salad. The company has been sold several times over the years and currently belongs to Praesidian Capital, a private equity firm.

Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill filed for bankruptcy in 2010, forcing the company to close 47 locations. Today, the company has 16 locations in three states and is owned by Praesidian Capital, a private investment firm.

Restaurants are having difficulties with the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, including Charlie Brown’s, which closed several restaurants early in the year in New Jersey. 

The company maintains a corporate office in Millburn, New Jersey.

All-Clad was founded in 1967 by metallurgist John Ulam in Pennsylvania. The company is a metal works, which helped to mint US coins in the past, but today mainly deals with cookware. This shift to cookware occurred by accident when Ulam was making a pan for his own kitchen and discovered that his pan worked better than any other item he had purchased. Bloomingdale’s picked up the brand and began selling it in 1973.

Today, All-Clad is one of the most sought after names in cookware and kitchen items. The company is unique in that it uses a technology called “roll bonding” to make its pots and pans. The company sells their items in specialty stores and department stores in the US, as well as in Canada, Germany, Australia, and the UK.

His idea was to sell non-electrical and other types of old fashioned tools and hardware to the Amish community in Ohio. Business was nothing more than average until the oil embargo of 1973, when everyone began looking for ways to beat the energy crisis.

Today, Lehman’s specializes in tools and survival gear for environmentalists, survival buffs, Preppers, and those who prefer “off the grid” living. The Amish community used to make up 95% of company sales, today, they account for only about 5% of annual revenue. The company remodeled the store front, using Amish workers, to restore it to its original 1955 facade, although the store has doubled in size over the past decade.

The store is a popular tourist attraction as well, with many people believing that it is a type of museum, when in fact, every item in the store is for sale and is fully functional.
