Blue Bunny Ice Cream was founded back in 1913 by Fred Wells in Sioux City, Iowa. The company began using one horse drawn cart and the milk from 15 cows to make a hand churned ice cream. The name came from a competition where the winning entry included a drawing of a blue rabbit.
Today, the company is the third largest ice cream maker in the US. In addition to ice cream, the company has expanded to sell fruit juice, milk, and yogurt products. Demand for their products has forced the company to build larger and larger processing plants and new corporate offices. The most recent expansion has been a 900,000 square foot processing plant, including a 12 story tall freezer.
Blue Bunny Ice Cream is still family owned and operated by Wells Enterprises. Company headquarters are now located in Le Mars, Iowa.

Dear Blue Bunny What is it going to take to get you to start distributing Mississippi mud ice cream sandwiches in the Chapel Hill North Carolina area? We are saddened that you have not even given our area a chance to enjoy what arguably is the best of al your treats. Is it that Mississippi money so good that there’s just not enough of it to go around?
We have totally given into the bunny and now we’re just hoping that the bunny will give in to us a little bit. Seriously we have been telling everybody about this ice cream and they can’t It is as good as we say it is. Please help us get more folks down here to give in to the bunny as we have.

I would never buy your product until you put tamper proof protection on it! In this day and age, people have lost the ability to think straight, all in the name of attention on social media. Maybe you like stupid people showing how anyone, in any store, can tamper with your product. Do you really think people are going to buy ice cream without a protective barrier under cartoon lid?

Living in Yuma, AZ we obviously have challenges with the heat. We do have regular Blue Bunny Ice Cream here. We do not have your sundaes. Why not? At least stop advertising them here if you won’t supply the product. Thank you.

I just tried your new flavor-Chocolate Donut. This was really excellent. It’s right
up there with last years Lemon Ice Box Cake. Wish you had a lemon flavor this
summer.

My Name is John Brooks,I love the product you sell the bunny trax is the best,The reason i am sending this to you is after seeing that video that went viral
with that lady opening that ice cream and licking it and putting the top back on and putting it back was discussting,Your packaging only has that small pull tab to unlock it from the top i find them all the time missing and since that video i have showed our Von’s Manager more then once them missing the lock tap.
My personal opinion is maybe rethink sealing the tops better

I eat healthy and I was happy to find that you sell frozen yogurt, and I purchased some. But when I got home I read that the container said Genetically Engineered Product, what is that all about? It appears that perhaps I have purchased a product that is not safe to eat. Please explain
Thank you
