Bath Fitter installed a new shower in my home on May 25,2023. It has leaked from day 1 and the trim installed was incorrect. The caulking looks like it was done by a 3-year-old and is smeared or missed.
No one in the Austin office returns calls and when appointments are scheduled, they never show up or do so without the necessary materials. After several calls I was finally able to reach a supervisor in Customer Service who scheduled an appointment on July 22, 2023. No one showed up for this appointment. After I called and complained that yet another appointment was missed and threatened legal action, someone from the New York office, who was working in Texas, came to my house and seemed to have corrected the leak. This after almost two months of not being able to use the shower because it leaked all over the bathroom floor.
I am nervous that should an issue arise, your “Lifetime Warranty” would be meaningless. We now have another appointment for August 7, 2023 for install the correct trim and caulking. Hopefully this one will be kept.

I wonder if someone can help me. I am handicapped and recently went through some needed back surgery. My problem is this 2 years ago +- I had Bath Fitters redo my bathroom taking out the tub and putting all new hardware and made it into a walk in shower. The problem is they did not install non-slip shower flooring. I complained about it and they sent a technician and he covered the flooring with a chemical that made it a non-slip floor. The floor covering has worn out and I have been calling Bath Fitters for over 2 weeks and all I get is we will report it to the Service Center and I do not ever receive a call back to let me know if and when they are going to fix the problem. I have tried bath mats and the non-slip decorative attachment they either will not stick to the floor or they nonstick once they get wet. I even tried a chemical coating and that lasted for about 2 days. For me this is a safety concern. The Bath Fitters Service Center in Fort Meyers just ignores my problem are they waiting till I fall and sue them before they will solve my problem all i am asking is for something to be resolved that should of been a problem in the first place if the correct flooring had been installed.

Worst experience of my life. I have had a warrantee claim starting May 2022. It is now October 2022 and I am still being lied to by the local office. He blames corporate. I call corporate, but they NEVER return phone calls or respond to chats. I may be forced to file a lawsuit to enforce the BS Lifetime Warrantee. I wish there was someone within the organization with the courage and fortitude to return a phone call and make a customer happy. But I guess there is no such thing as customer service anymore. You have forgotten that Customer Service means servicing the customer – which includes returning a simple phone call. My challenge remains, can someone find the intestinal fortitude to pick up a phone and call me!

As a single senior citizen, I was taken advantage of by a NJ Bathfitter franchise.
The salesman, as I gave him my $2475 deposit check, said to ask the specialist.
After numerous visits to my home by the “specialists”, giving me different answers to questions, I lost faith in both BathFitter, and the plumbing company and wanted my deposit back. By then, I was past the three day contract window and management refused to return the deposit, telling me its good for one year. The manager even compared it to buying a car! I don’t want to do business with them. The right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing in this franchise. At the end of the day, it was a very stressful experience and I was taken advantage of.

I gave this company a one rating for the office, not the professionalism of the installers and salesman. Initially we were told in October 2021 that we would have our unit installed in January 2022. Well, January came and went and no word, so I contacted the office and got ahold of the production manager Chasity. She did not know exactly the time frame but believed installation would be in March, but was not sure, because demand and the pandemic. I was fine with that, so May came and our installation was set. The installer showed up Monday morning on time and started working. Come to find out the bath tub that was sent was wrong. So the installer called the production manager, Chasity and a new tub was order and we were told it should take one to two weeks from the installer. The problem was Chasity never contacted us stating that the tub was ordered or a timeframe of when the tub would be installed. I ended up contacting her two days later to find out the details. Two weeks went by and the tub came in to be installed. This time the tub was too big. So the installer called the office and come to find out Chasity put in the wrong dimensions for the tub the second time. So another tub was ordered. Obviously, by this time cleaning the bathroom out twice and now a third time because of mistakes made by the office had frustrated us, my wife called and was upset in how things were handled. Chasity stated she would contact the owner when he came back the following week to make it right. Finally, the next week we got a call from Chasity saying we would get a check for $500. Well a week went by and nothing then another week went by and nothing. So my wife contacted the office and Chasity stated a person from accounting will contact us. No one called and when we contacted the office again Chasity stated she knew nothing about the $500 deal. The hassle and lies from the office were what would make me never suggest this company to any one. We had a few friends that were looking to update there bathtubs, and want to know our opinion. We stated installers were great, product looks great, but if you have a problem, the office either will not keep you updated or just lie to you. I hope if you decide to use this company I hope you never have any problems.
Update as of 08/20/22:
I received a phone call from Chasity on 08/10/2022 stating that a check was issued on June 24th 2022 and never cleared. She called to ask if the address she sent it to was incorrect and described the address on my voicemail. I called her back explaining that was the incorrect address and she read off the address she had, which was my correct address. She then went on to say that they would cancel the old check and send out a new check the next day, as she explained the mail had already been picked up. Ten days later and there is no check! I have mailed numerous items to the metro area, which are received within a minimum of four days. Then after she stated she would issue a new check, she asked if I would update my review when I received the check, and then asked on what platform was my review posted. Mind you I never told her I posted a review. I am not exactly sure why she even called, or why this franchise would allow this blatant disregard for the truth for ask me for information about where my review was posted and if I would update my review to correspond with their actions. I never thought a company could actually stoop this low. I would hope that no one else has to deal with this from this company. I paid for this product already so at this point nothing I can do, other than to call corporate. This was/continues to be a headache so I would strongly recommend using another company.

Here is the email I had to send to my local office – Mountlake Terrace WA
Marquita,
The initial install began on August 6.
I’m 6 weeks into not being able to use the Master shower.
Let me frame my experiences:
The liner for the Hall bath was too short, despite being measured by BathFitters.
I was informed by the installers that this happens regularly with the liners that have more detail pressed into them, and this pressing reduces the size of the liner.
At first, I was given the option to not have the liner go to the ceiling.
I rejected that.
Then I was offered – for an additional cost – the option of having a false ceiling built in just over the shower.
I rejected this.
I continued to explain that the fix was to have a shower where the lining went to the ceiling.
Ultimately, I agreed to change the liner option, and a replacement Subway tile liner was installed.
For the Master Bath, the initial install was substandard.
I was also informed – after the install began – that the door was not available yet.
After having the team out for the second time, I had to direct and insist on the repair being done.
The second door could not be installed because somehow the hinge ended up on the wrong side.
The right hand side of the shower continues to have a large gap. The explanation provided to me is that the door will press it up against the wall, and the trim will close it off.
The left hand side of the shower was in some sense repaired – but I can still feel where the liner has come loose from the wall.
In addition, I am disappointed that you insist on using non-paintable caulk. The paint job I had done around the hall shower looks less professional than it should, because of the caulk.
I asked one of the installers about this. His response was that the installers regularly suggest paintable caulk, as customers would prefer this, but that corporate does not allow for that.
I’d like a door – immediately. I don’t care if you have to use another fabricator, or have one shipped from another store, or any other way this can be fixed.
And I’d like a confirmed date of delivery and install for the door.
If we can’t get this resolved by the end of next week, (Sept 23) please come and remove everything from the master shower, refund my money, and I’ll find another installer.
I’m know this sounds harsh – but this is completely unacceptable.
I look forward to a speedy resolution.

I have the same horrible experience with the Newark Ca office. They started the project in February of this year and to this day it is still not complete. I have made multiple phone calls and emails to get someone to just finish the damn job. The lack of responsiveness is very unprofessional and is unacceptable. When I do get a hold of someone there is a million different excuses and all they can say is someone will get back to me which never happens. I am a busy person and the inconvenience of constantly following up with no success is just horrendous. I will definitely not be doing business with Bath fitter again and will be sure to share the horrible experience I’ve had with friends and family. I will also be contacting Wells Fargo to dispute the charges for this job since not all services have been rendered. Why should I be paying for an incomplete job. The project already started off on a bad note when they scheduled the first day of the project and the workers were a no show. I took a day off to be at home for the first day and no one from this branch had the decency to call or email me that the workers would not be showing up…. complete waste of my day just waiting around wondering when bath fitter workers would be showing up. In summary, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT

This issue is about the Bath Fitter in San Diego Ca. Bath Fitter told me to call a handyman ( company do not want to get involved) to fix the the garage door paint when the pvc glue dripped on the garage door and caused for the paint to peel off. Installer refused to wear shoe cover while inside the house. Wish I had read these comments before I signed the contract. Read what ever is in the contract before signing.

I am shocked to read all the bad reviews, although I know that most people submit a review when something is wrong and we never hear from happy customers.
I came to this site looking for a way to notify management of a GREAT employee—Andrew Fries in Virginia. He was outstanding in every way, I wish the world was full of people like Andrew. He is a wonderful combination of a highly competent salesman, teacher, and ambassador of good will.
After the installation, I will return with another review/comment.

We had a Bathfitter tub liner and walls installed in 2008. After a couple years it felt like a small crack had formed in the bottom. The technician came out and used a power buffer on the floor. No crack showed up, only the underlying tape to the original tub gave a false line. The buffed area was left slightly rough.
Over the following years the area buffed became discolored.
Attempting to take advantage of the advertised lifetime warranty to fix the problem we called Bathfitter.
The technician came out, again buffed the area but the discoloration was deeper into the acrylic.
Pictures were taken and we were told that the company would be contacted.
The company has declined to cover the product under warranty, instead they want to charge us $774.00 to replace the tub liner. They claim, without actually examining the tub and with pictures of the approved cleaner we used, that we used an unapproved cleaner on the liner and caused the problem.
We have always used the recommended cleaners on the list we were given. We never used anything but their approved cleaners.
If this is an example of their lifetime warranty, I can’t recommend them to anyone!
Andrew Mercatante says
Our salesperson measured our tub twice ( two different days) and that was not enough. The one day install is now ten days and counting. The shower header for the glass door and the door itself were short. Both items had to be reordered. Also no corner shelf was installed because the salesperson never transferred it from estimate to contract.
The fixtures are all not aligned with drain. I have a shower curtain temp so we can shower since it’s the only bathroom.
The pic with shower curtain is where the glass door should be!
For the high cost I expected better service or at least compensation.

After a service call on Oct 8, 2021 to replace a cracked shower floor under warranty, and demolishing the existing shower floor before realizing he had the wrong part, laving us without a functional shower, the technician returned on the 15th to complete the repair. It turned out that during the demolition on the 15th, a hidden pipe was ruptured, that caused significant water damage on the floor below, and the intermediate ceiling and walls. After the Bath Fitter plumber repaired the ruptured pipe 2 days later, and a commitment from Bath Fitter’s local manager they would pay for the damages and restoration work, I have called numerous times, sent a letter and even had my attorney send a letter. It is now 6 weeks later and not a single response from Bath Fitter’s local Manager, Rick Edwards. I have already had to pay the water/mold mitigation work performed by ServPro (nearly $3,000) and the restoration is expected to cost another $3,000. The local (Lombard, IL) Bath Fitter office is completely unresponsive. I may need to contact my attorney, again, to begin litigation to get reimbursed for my loss.

My complaint is with Shawn Brock who says he is the manager at Wilmington NC. Bathfitter. He didn’t like my survey and was nasty to me and hung up the phone on me while I was still talking. Then I called the corporate office to file a complaint and the person, a female, never submitted the complaint on Nov 6th, 2021. Tonite, 1 Dec 2021, I received a cocky email from Shawn Brock stating our business is complete and his manager knows about it. How is that for professionalism? I have copies of the emails and told him I have a lifetime warranty but hope nothing happens so I don’t have to allow these demons back in my home. The job done was ok but it certainly wasn’t worth the money I paid nor the attitude of that unprofessional little jerk, Shawn Brock, that came to my home to fix the leaking shower head the installer left undone. These people are acting like Karens and think they can talk and treat people anyway they choose. I just am surprised he is allowed to behave this way towards customers, get away with it, and brag about the higher-ups knowing about it with nothing being done. No call back from Corporate because the lady didn’t send it up as a complaint. Never do business with Bathfitters again. U may have to get a lawyer or reach out to the CEO to let him know how this jerk in Wilmington office is thinking he is the CEO. I am appalled at Shawn Brocks behavior all because he didn’t like my survey answers. Shawn Brock, your boss may not do anything and allow you to protray this type of cocky behavior towards customers but I am going to let everybody that will listen know not to do business out of his office.

I am very concerned about other people going through what I have with Bathfitter.
Rob from Bathfitter came to my home at the end of April this year (2019). The cost of everything I chose came to just over $5000. I paid a deposit of $769 for my one day install to take place. Eventually it was scheduled for June 3.
They never called to confirm the install date. I had to call myself to make sure they were still coming. Rob had told me the water needed to be shut off all day. Apparently it was only required for the morning. Ada, the employee in the shop, advised she had dropped the ball and was supposed to call me to confirm the install.
Chino, the installer, was the shining light. He did a great job of getting the walls installed, but the tub overlay did not fit! No matter what he did, it would not fit. The tub was not the right size and he said it would eventually crack if installed as is. His boss, Orlando, wanted him to build up the bottom with foam. In doing that, I would lose space in my bathroom. Furthermore, the foam would become malleable when I have a bath, making the overlay moveable. He was unable to install the tub that day.
Also, I had paid a premium for fixed brush nickel shower bar, Chino said it wasn’t available so he had grabbed me a cheap chrome one that’s not fixed, it just sits there with suction, so I could at least put a curtain up.
Therefore there ‘one day installation claim’ is not true.
I called Bathfitter and spoke to Orlando to determine what his plans were to make this right. He said I would get a discount between $0-$400 possibly.
Rob was booked another day to come to my home. The first day he was here he politely removed his shoes, the next time he barged in and did not. His attitude had changed. He brought a test overlay which fit better than the one they had brought me. However, that was just a sample, it was extremely beat up and not suitable for install.
Chino was booked to come again, which he did. I asked for the refund amount to be in writing. Ada and Orlando were evasive and unwilling to put an amount on paper pending how well the install went.
I soon learned why they didn’t want to commit to a refund amount.
They sent Chino back with the EXACT same tub! Orlando demanding he install it. I measured the tub myself, it was not the right size for my tub at all. I was very disappointed Bathfitter wasted my time again.
I explained to Ada via multiple emails that I am a shift worker and I also gave her dates I am available. Since I am a shift worker, I am available a lot during the week. She provided me one date at the beginning of August for the install for 8AM. I finished my night shift at 6AM and I explained that I would be unable to open the door since I would be asleep. She asked if someone else could be made available.
I alone live in a one bedroom apartment and I explained that simply wouldn’t work.
I have not heard from Ada since August 6, 2019. I have sent her emails to try to get a hold of her. I am coming up on waiting six months for a supposed one day install that Bathfitter advertises. I want to share my story so no one else hires them thinking it is easy.
I made a video of me walking on the tub that did not fit that I am happy to share. You can hear ‘clomp clomp’ as I walk across it. It’s very upsetting when you consider how much this is costing me only to have them disappear.
Since I haven’t heard from them in a month, I don’t know what is going on.
Judith Maxner says
Same thing is happening to me right now.the tub makes noise and pops up and down when walking in it.they been to my back toy residents 3 times trying to do for up the situation and still is not solved.no they are ignoring me,because they have to remove everything and start over to stick the tib down properly.

June 19th, 2019
I am Beyond disgusted with the how this company Bath Fitter is treating my senior citizen mother and father who where looking to get their bathrooms remodeled.
May 31st, 2019 The company rep. Jim/James came into their home Friday Evening, did some checking/measuring, showed them some products and gave them a quote. Took a deposit of $2,200 cash (which was more then the $1,000 deposit limit stated in the contract) and left.
Per the contract she had 3 BUSINESS days to cancel.
On Monday June 3rd my mother called Jim/James and asked him to hold back on moving forward because she had another company coming to take a look at the job.
On that Wednesday June 5th, the 3rd business day, she wrote an email stating she would not be going with their company and she would be needing her $2,200 deposit back.
Jim/James then contacted my Mother and told her it was to late, that they count Saturday as a business day. (Nowhere in contract does it state Saturday is a business day, And after a quick Google search. Monday-Friday are business days)
She also later found out that then had already opened up a line of credit with a $2,200 charge on it, which doesn’t make sense.
As of today June 19th 2019 she is still out the $2,200 and they are saying she will not be receiving it back.
I’ll do my best to keep this post updated as long as this matter isn’t resolved.

We wish we had checked into Bath Fitter reviews before paying nearly $8000 to have them work on tub and shower. It has been over 6 months and we are still waiting for Corey and his team out of Toledo area to complete the job. They make appointments and don’t show up, not even a phone call. We have emailed and called repeatedly. We can not complete our bathroom remodel until Bath Fitter finishes the job and corrects the plumbing problems that they caused. Months later and we still do not have fully functioning bathroom. I hope this review will help others avoid this costly mistake. If you have read these reviews and still want to give your money to Bath Fitters, just consider it a donation. Don’t let them into your home. You’ll save yourself the time, frustration, and the expense of paying someone else to fix and finish your project.

I had installation done approx. 13 years ago. Right now I need to have 2 grab bars installed due to health issues. Our local rep is less than half mile away, and I’ve called several times since November, 2018 for assistance. I spoke with the office, got a quote, and to date, (4 months later) no response. It doesn’t say much for their customer service. In fact, it’s unacceptable. At this point I do not wish to do business with them nor will I recommend them. I have other options, and I prefer to do business elsewhere.

Called your corporate today, only to find out because it is a franchise market that you only provide product not “any” resolutions other than that provided by the local owned independent installer. This is in my mind very poor buisnes relations with homeowners or for that matter anyone thinking of buying your product. I just want anyone that has an inclination to have your product installed that you DO NOT PROVIDE ANYTHING OTHER THAN PRODUT!!!!! local installers and estimates are a joke! and had I researched better I would have done this job myself! so to sum up the whole experience, IT SUCKED!!!! hopefully folks will seek out this site and see the piss poor responses you give to future clients so they will RUN! hopefully the install goes well or I will continue to voice my option on this site as well as on the net to anyone that seeks your product or services. have a great day!

Defective ShowerBase – Bathfitter proposes to fix it by cutting out the existing shower pan wherein a lip would be left on the existing base, and your technician would adhere the new shower pan to the existing base with some type of super glue. Totally unacceptable – Keyport franchise says that is corporate policy – The correct procedure to replacing a shower pan, although not the most cost effective, is exposing the flange that is attached to the wall studs. Shower wall panels need to be removed to access the pan flanges. Once the flanges are reattached to the wall studs, the wall panels should be reattached over the shower pan.

They gave us our free appraisal? We decided to get the shower. My wife has been receiving cancer treatment and 2 days after giving a $1700 deposit we found out she needs more treatment. We called our rep to cancel and he nor the office will return the call. This is our free appraisal. The guy was so nice and gave us every detail, he even said we could cancel if we contacted them before the second appointment which we did.
We cost them nothing but a free appraisal it says no where on the contract we signed that they keep our deposit if we canceled.

BAD,BAD,BAD, totally awful experience with Bath Fitters franchise in Erie Pa. Franchise .
Had 2 bath tub/showers installed, total of 8,000 dollars. 06-4 and 06-5 of 2018. They poked hole in kitchen ceiling, did poor job fixing ceiling. 1 wk. later, leak in kitchen ceiling leaking. they came back, and said drain was not tight enough was now OK. 1 wk later leaking again, worse than last time. 1wk later they came back, made bigger hole in kitchen ceiling, said it was fixed again. Left huge hole in ceiling, and told his insurance that it was our fault because it was a corroded pipe. We never had a leak prior to Bath Fitter, doing their work. Now we are left with a huge hole in our ceiling, and they claim no responsibility for any ceiling, water, cabinet, damage. We would have been better to hire someone else who had better quality assurance in their work. Would never recommend using this franchise, due to poor response to problems, no pride in their work and does not stand behind their work. Extremely poor customer service, from franchise in Erie Pa.

This is what i sent to your office and to the sales lady.
I am emailing this to you because I want it on record for my self. I am not happy with the way this entire transaction went. First: you were in so much of a hurry to write the order that you wrote it up with the wrong style that I wanted. If I didn’t catch that early enough your installer would have had to re-do the entire shower. Second, I got lucky that you had the right materials in one of your warehouses which makes me wonder why this took 4 weeks to get when i received the correct materials in a couple of hours upon noticing the mistake. Because of this what should have taken one day then took 2. Third; when you described the way the shower floor was to be designed you showed me a picture of what it would be. You described a floor that would come up on all 4 sides acting like a pan with the walls placed over it on all sides. The floor installed is a plain flat floor that just butts up against the side walls as if I had tile installed. Leaving the chance for water to seep though any gaps of silicone and I would be back to the mildew problem. Fourth: The original floor that was installed might have been properly pitched when installed but upon catching the mistake in the style you delivered it had to be ripped up and the new floor is not pitched toward the drain as you stated it would when you took the order. I specifically asked you and the installer that question. The water is now settling in the rear of the shower against the back wall on the floor and I either have to use my foot to brush it to the drain or get on my knees and use a squeegee to push it to the drain to keep it from staying there and eventually causing mildew. Fifth:. The top metal header piece of the shower door was cut short and the installer tried to use Silicone to fill in the gap. I caught that right away and advised that was not acceptable. He stated he would let the office know and they would get an new one and call me to reinstall that piece. I had to call to find out hat was going on, no one called me. I told them about the floor as well.
I have no idea how they can re-pitch the floor for proper drainage but i would bet if the installer pulled it up to do it, it is not going to go back right and have a true finished look like it does now and I will notice the imperfection till I am dead.
For what I paid for this I could have had the entire bathroom and shower re-tiled. As you can see I am far from happy about this. At this point you would be wasting your time sending me the survey for the 50.00 to be put in my credit card account. This job was not worth 5,000.00. I’m sorry. No one even bothered to contact me after it was completed to ask me about the job. You just charged my credit card for the balance due. At this point you are the only one receiving this email.
THIS JOB YOU DID SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! I already see mildew forming in the corner of the shower floor where the water is settling despite me getting on my knees and wiping it. I also see the silicone has separated from the wall in the same spot because the wall is not solid. That means water will get behind the wall now and under the floor you put down. THIS IS TOTAL BULLS**T and since i have a contact number for your CEO I am ready to bypass you and file a complaint with your main office. I wasted 5,000.00 on this s**t job. I am not letting this go by any means. Expect a problem. I am keeping a record of all correspondences i sent to you and what i sent on facebook.

I had Bathfitters come out on 3/12/2018. The representative reviewed everything on the contract except the cancellation period. On 3/20/2018 I called to cancel my order. After much deliberation, we decided to add on to our house instead of remodel the bathroom. The local store would not assist me and said I had to talk to the representative that helped me. The representative claimed the cancellation period had been reviewed (I have now become a liar), and said it had been more than 3 days. I have now paid $1,000.00 to Bathfitters and am not getting a new bathtub. I was told I would not get my $1,000.00 back. After 5 business days, Bathfitters made $1,000.00 with no review of the cancellation period and no installation completed. I feel this is an inethical business practice. I strongly believe this is theft and am prepared to file consumer complaints, contact the proper business regulators, contact the BBB, and contact local news stations if this issue is not resolved. $1,000.00 is a lot of money to steal from hard working citizens. I would strongly urge potential customers to do extensive research about this company before using them.

I wish I would’ve read this before having Bath Fitters do the walls in my bathtub. I had the work done in December 2017 and the seamless corners are not straight, the borders are crooked, the caulking is coming out by the window. That was after having to come back to finish the installation because the first piece didn’t fit! To fix it they want to put a new piece on top of the piece that is there! I would NEVER recommend them!

I wish I would have looked into Bath Fitters more before I had them come into my home. I purchased a complete tub, wall and shower ceiling back in 2012. In 2015 the tub- which was not a linear but a tub shell (they took out my bath tub and I didn’t even know this) had pressure cracks. It took about 3 months to get the new tub ordered and installed. Now comes 2017 I come home from vacation and discover water had been leaking from behind the linear, down the wall onto the floor and into my bathroom below. It took them to come out and repair, at first they were like yes we want to make this right, we are a new management team, the previous team didn’t do things like they should have, but we are going to. This started at the end of August and we are now entering December. They did come out last week (day before Thanksgiving) to replace the walls and tub. They couldn’t finish the job the installer had issue with removing the handle and couldn’t get the linear in. He couldn’t figure what was wrong with the tub. He was there 8+ hours and left with a horrible placed wall, tons of silicone around the tub. He didn’t check for leaks before leaving, guess what! Thanksgiving morning I am getting ready for work and I have a leak on my new floor (had to replace from the previous leak) and new ceiling below. I have asked for a full refund, haven’t heard a word back from anyone. Decisions are made at the local level and then submitted to Canada corporate office. Maybe 2018 will be my year for Bath Fitters too take care of me and offer me my full refund. I

My husband had a bathroom done at our house as part of the agreement to buying our house in 2009. We have been unable to use the bathroom for over six years because there is water trapped between the old tub and the one bathfitter put in. The guy that came out to look at it said they did a “sh!tty job” putting it in. Now they say we owe them $2000 to have it fixed. No way. I hope you and I can both get our bathrooms fixed. Best of luck.

Still waiting for someone to call me back. Have made several calls to bath fitters for a year. Had a tub liner installed, and around the drain it has 3, 4 inch cracks. Life time warrantee?? HA! This liner isn’t 3 years old and it’s alling apart. I’d not recommend Bath Fitters to anyone. Awful company that does shoty work. After the work is done they don’t care as long as they’re paid. After that, it’s not their problem. It’s been a year. Where is my call back? I was told to send pictures. I did that twice. Honestly, if anyone is reading this before using Bath Fitters, please heed this warning.

My husband and I ordered a tub in May, paid cash gave the balance upon install in July the tub didn’t fit the manager came back in August took new measurements then we finally got them to give us the new install appointment in the end of September for the October 3rd install then on the 2nd get a call stating the wrong tub came in again this time it was 1/2 inch too short. They say now it won’t be until November that this new tub might come in. We have paid cash for this tub and now 5 months later still have no tub. We are getting a run around from ALL of the people in the San Jose Branch Location. Now it’s getting time to talk to our lawyer! Don’t believe any of the advertisements by this company the Bath Fitters are a rip off, joke, they don’t do what they promise and when there is a problem they disappear!

Ceiling tiles were damaged by the water that leaked under the liner. Because they are decorative ceiling tiles they are impossible to find a match so the entire ceiling has to be replaced. The damaged was caused by the bathfitter technican when he pushed down on the liner

My 88 year old Aunt who lives in Hamilton NJ purchased a shower from your company after just coming out of the hospital from a concussion and multiple injuries… She did not tell me nor her daughter who has Power of Attorney.. when her daughter called and spoke to the Sales Manager he told it was already made in the factory yet they came yesterday to measure and asked her if she wanted the walls up to the ceiling. Oh by the way the charge for the shower is $9000. I was apauled since I hit an estimate of $6000 8 years ago and because we said no …they kept calling us bringing down the price..Also when her daughter spoke to the Manager he told her she did not care about her Mother’s safety and only about the money!! She has been nothing but wonderful taking care of her mother and I am so angry!! How dare him and your Company and I am looking further into this..I will contact the Dept for the Elderly and see what I can do to report this.. I am a nurse and work with the elderly and I am angry..How dare you take advantage of an old person who is on a fixed income who just got out of the hospital with a concussion and did not have authority to sign since her daughter has power of attorney.. would you like it if someone did this to your Mother?

As a single senior citizen, I was taken advantage of by a NJ Bathfitter franchise.
The salesman, as I gave him my $2475 deposit check, said to ask the specialist.
After numerous visits to my home by the “specialists”, giving me different answers to questions, I lost faith in both BathFitter, and the plumbing company and wanted my deposit back. By then, I was past the three day contract window and management refused to return the deposit, telling me it’s good for one year. I don’t want to do business with them. The right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing and I needed second opinion. At the end of the day, it was a very stressful experience and I still want my deposit back.

Bath Fitter installed a shower in my home in 2012, by 2014 they had to come back and reapply adhesive to leaking seems. During the past year, we could smell a sour odor coming from the shower, the floor of the shower became mushy, and recently we discovered water damage in the adjacent master closet. I started to pull the shower apart to assess the damage and found mold, mildew, wet wood, wet drywall and puddled water in the shower walls. I contacted the Ft Myers Bath Fitter and advised them of the damage.
“Lisa” informed me that the “Lifetime Warranty” was voided since I removed some of the shower wall. The “Lifetime Warranty” states “as long as you own your home”…NOT as long as you don’t find shoddy workmanship, damage or leaks. We have made numerous attempts to get something in writing from “Lisa”, to get her last name or to get the name and phone number of her attorney, advising that we plan to file a Small Claims complaint.
No one from Bath Fitter has responded to any of our requests,
I have 24 pictures of the damaged shower, walls, floor and closet.
