    I booked a car rental through CarRental.com with Hertz in Albuquerque Oct 7-11, 2021. I unfortunately didnt’t read their policy before booking. I tried to change to a smaller car and got an email back that it was too late to do. Told to check with rental agency, Hertz. Hertz said they could not only not change the car, they couldn’t change the driver who is my husband. Why? because we had used carrental.com.
    We had to pay $14 a day for the extra driver, plus extra tax and recovery fees for a total of $225.20. Lesson learned: never use carrental.com again nor Hertz for how we were treated. In the future I will always go direct to the car rental company where I can make changes. Now I have to contact Hertz.

    CarRentals.com is one of the most crooked companies on earth. I booked a 3 week reservation from February 23, 2021 through March 16. due to circumstances, I have to delay my trip by one day. CarRentals.com will not let me pick up the car a day late even if I pay for the whole reservation in advance. My choices are pick the car up on the 23rd or have the whole reservation canceled. Of course they will “let me” book a new reservation at 2x the price. Their corporate office does not talk to customers. I was even told tat it doesn’t matter if there is a natural disaster or terrorist attack. No modifications allowed.

    On Sunday the 21st of April I rented a car with my friends credit card …I never noticed that Credit Card and driver were supposed to match..well they dont so Im curious why my friend is NOT getting her money back ? I have taken this issue to the Dept. Of Justice and showed them your policy saying you will cancel a rental if credit card and driver dont match. Anyways I never got a rental car and my friend is not getting her money. I have pictures of every policy on your website and when I was renting a vehicle. I was supposed to get a rental from USave Car rentals in Costa Mesa Ca. Please help me get the money back

    No matter what I did pick up and drop off times came up 12 noon for both.
    I need p/u 1pm drop off 5pm. Appears to possibly be a nice scam to ad to my cost?
    Also I have screen shots of $139 CAN. and you charged my card $183 Can.
    This has taken me hours to get this far. Please advise or correct this problem!

    I booked a reservation for one city and the reservation was confirmed and a neighboring city. I tried for more than two hours to cancel the reservation. All efforts through CarRental.com on line were in vain. The booking could not be found. Every phone number were voice mail only. This company should be ran out of business. Best part is I didn’t fall for the measly pennies offered for “pay now” saving. So, I don’t have to beg to get my money back!!!
    CARRENTAL.COM CAN GO TO HELL AND TAKE YOUR ENTIRE EXECUTIVE EMPLOYEES WITH YOU!!!!

    Rented car at Sky Harbor, Phoenix on 1-30-2018. Booked auto well in advance but upon arrival at BUDGET I was advised my $1222 rental was going to cost me $1821. The rate quoted to me in writing by carrentals.com was $25.14 per day but they charged $39.30 per day plus many differences in fees and taxes.

    After going thru their customer support site several times with various reason for the problem I was finally advised it was my fault. Arrived six hours late due to flight and booking was canceled and Budget counter made new reservation and upgrade vehicle was provided at additional charge.

    The truth is that this company won’t stand behind their customer and resolve issues with the rental companies. Lateness was due to flight and waiting in line for an hour to receive the car they didn’t have. No information was provided and after length discussion with Budget counter man was told carrentals.com just didn’t know proper rate.

    BEWARE OF USING CARRENTALS.COM you could be in for a big surprise.

    In addition to this, I have posted pictures and this info on your complaint sight. First of all I contacted your company yesterday at 2:27 p.m. and spoke to Meghan and she said she worked for reservations. She advised me that she could not help me and asked if she could give me the information of who to contact. Because I was driving I asked if she could email me the information, as of now I am still waiting almost 24 hours later!!! She told me she couldn’t tell me when she would be able to email me. This literally takes 1 minute to do and customer service is very important to me as I worked for a very large utility company and know what customer service is all about. This is disgraceful. This rental was my first experience with your company and will probably be my last. So disappointed in the entire experience. My reservation Itinerary #[protected] who was partnered with Economy was a horror show and I will go into more detail when I reach that part of the story. I tried to get a lower rate 5 times and each time it said it went through and then when I looked at the reservation it said cancelled. The difference was approximately a total of $30.00 cheaper. Very frustrating. I called your company and Economy but whoever I spoke to told me it was the other person!! Well left that as is out of frustration and just figured I’d wait until I got to Economy. When I got to Economy to get the vehicle, it took me 1 1/2 to get out of there, not a happy person. I first questioned the price and they said they could not do anything for me. I even showed them the 5 cancellations. As part of their check in as is all, they asked specific questions related to insurance. I have additional insurance with American Express on car rentals. They asked me about my personal car insurance and I told them it was Commerce and they told me I needed a copy of my policy. Who carries a copy of their policy on a vacation? In all the years I have rented a vehicle I have never had to show an actual policy and just needed to furnish the carrier in addition I was just in Florida and rented through Budget on site at the airport. Naturally I had to get the information and have it faxed over which took some time and thank goodness I have a good insurance company. This was the second strike of starting off on the wrong foot. They finally took me out to a vehicle and it was horrible. It was a Nissan Sentra. I always check the vehicle but this car was in poor shape for a fairly new vehicle. It had two dents, chipped paint all over it, and the seal around the rear windows were detached. I have never gotten a vehicle like this. I questioned the seals and they said it would be fine. Not happy but they said there were no other cars they could give me. I made sure it was noted but I did take pictures. I will attach them. I am asking for a full refund and a free rental for a future trip. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I look forward to hearing back from you for your quick response.     I was supposed to have a rental car for a week. I arrived to a closed gate. The location was CLOSED. Now Im being refused a refund because of my “terms of service” which Im pretty sure should be invalidated the second you allowed me to book a rental at a closed location. This is utterly ridiculous. I want my refund NOW. $228.01 is what Im owed and I will be a NIGHTMARE for your company until I receive it.
    My entire vacation is RUINED. I literally will not stop contacting you, using any email or phone number available to me, until my demands are met.
