Bath and Body Works was founded in Albany, Ohio, in 1990. The company is a chain of stores offering skin care products, scented bath additives, and scented lotions. The company began their eCommerce site and began seasonal mail order catalogs in 2006.

The company is part of the L Brands Corporation. Their second division, which sells scented products such as candles for the home, has been renamed White Barn Candle Company. Bath and Body Works has the second highest revenue of any other L Brand company, second only to Victoria Secret. Annual revenue in 2006 was $2.28 billion.

I have not gotten coupons in months nearly a in the mail and I love yall store and stoped there all the time but can’t afford it with out my coupons I would love for you to do so methinh to get them back have re registered in store many times and called corporate office and re registered any still no coupons I will not but again until I get some in my mail

My son is a first year college student.He is a special needs student requiring tutoring.However your store manager thinks it’s ok for him to work outside of his schedule which when he does,he can’t attend tutoring.Your managers should encourage higher education instead of looking at it as an inconvenience.I’m looking into a possible discrimination filing because of his special needs classification.Shame on your company for their managers behavior.

I purchased 3000.00 of gift cards at bath and body works store, and am not able to use them at bath and body stores!! Its a bunch of Bulls**t!! Ridiculous!! No one can help me!! 1-800# refuses to help, no one wants to help! I need my money!! They gave me a # of a kevin at Corporate offices. That doesn’t answer the phone!! I am furious! Answer the freaking phone!! I will never purchase from Bath and body works ever again!!! Your customer service is absolutely terrible!!

My. 25 yr old granddaughter went for employment at one of your stores in chicago and was told she was unapproachable because or tatoo. What kind of crap is that..she is tryying to make a living just like every one else. SHAME ON YOU. IS THIS YOUR POLICY?

I am very disappointed in B&BW for dropping the Wexler products from their stores. I will never understand why your company drops a product that is great and popular. I even called the the Wexler office in Manhattan and they have no idea what you are doing. And they have gotten many complaints about the same thing. I call your customer service online and they no nothing and I even called your corporate office and they nothing and say it is not discontinued in stores. Your out of most items online and won’t give the discount for the serum that was available in stores but not exclusive to stores. I am complaining not bc it’s a horrible but that I want to buy it. If I were Patricia Wexler I certainly would be angry if customers were asking for a product and couldn’t get it. So unbelievably disgusted. Shame on you for lack of communication with your stores your company and customers. I will move on to este lauder products.

I am an employee at Bath & Body Works in Valencia California, store 267. I have been there for two years and I have kept my mouth quiet until now. My manager Lisa has every time talk down to other employees and she has threaten employees of their position at the store. As an employee I have never had a manager make myself and other’s feel like we are not good enough. We should be treated with respect, I really hope this issue is resolved , as an employee I don’t want to feel uncomfortable at my own job. Thank you

I visited New York store and also can get some products via Amazon uk .
But would love to be able to easily shop ftom the uk .
I absolutely love your products , but I find it hard getting products I like without paying over the odds on Amazon site .
Any news on any stores opening in the uk ?,

I have written Bath and Body Works Customer Service three times and have visited four stores to get an answer about a product. No one can answer my question and the website has auto respond saying they will get back to me within two days. Not so. At the last store I went to I asked to speak with the manager. She wasn’t available. Too busy. The assistant manager didn’t have the answer to how I could contact corporate. Then the manager came out and joked with the assistant manager but when I asked if I could have a word she said she was too busy. I have to believe that Customer Service at Bath and Body Works falls under the statement, “The light is on but nobody is home.” I don’t even have a complaint but just a question about buying a product that was just on the shelves a few weeks ago. The rudeness of the manager is unacceptable. The floor sales people were so much more caring than any of the managerial staff, when I could find them. What is going on at this company? Why are they afraid to talk with customers? Are they failing? Are they fearful of law suits? Or are they just a terrible company that could care less about its faithful customers? Corporate people, I just have a question!

Here is a response from a Bath and Body CSR that I received when I inquired about a favorite lotion that has been discontinued. I want corporate to know what happens when they make changes in a product that is highly popular and affects the consumer who has been very loyal several years.
Here is the response I wrote back to the CSR. ********

Lynn,
Thank you for the information regarding the body lotion.It is the Black Currant Vanilla in the Aromatherapy series. It really bothers me that internet sites such as Ebay are selling this product on line at very high prices. It ranges from $30 a bottle to $150 for 3. It is a shame that Bath and Body would not want to keep making this lotion and not let the scalpers charge this kind of price to people who really would like to purchase it from where it originated. You can find this online, but at the price people are charging, I will not be purchasing any of this. I will be sending this information on to the headquarters of Bath and Body so they will be aware of what happens when they discontinue a very profitable fragrance.

I did not find any other fragrance that would come close, but I will hope that this fragrance is brought back into production.

I was in your Brandon store on October 8. I was in line with my daughter we each had separate purchases. There were only 3 customers in front of us, it took 30 minutes to finally make it to the cashier. When the cashier was finally done with my daughter, she started ringing me up. Customer behind me gets in my face complaining how long it’s taking. I proceeded to tell her their were other lines if she wanted to check out. Of course after going back and fourth my daughter explains to her it’s not us, its the cashier.
I’m writing to you today because it’s not the first time I’ve had issue’s shopping at your store. When your cashier realized what was going on then she shifted into hi gear.
No need for me to shop at your store anymore. THE AGGRAVATION is not worth it.
In this world that we live in not worth me getting hit, stab, shot for a lousy candle at your store.

I have written to the Customer Service Department 3 different times asking them for a date when the Holiday Fragrances are going to be released. Specifically the fragrance I am waiting for is Vanilla Bean Noe which is my absolute favorite and I buy for the entire year so I don’t run-out at anytime. According to your website you are to receive an answer within 48 hours. Well, I am still waiting for someone to take the time to answer me. Perhaps now that I am writing to Bath & Body Works Direct I will receive and answer. I have to say I am highly disappointed, I did not expect this kind of treatment from this company, that I have loved so much and have spent so much of my money on your products. My goodness how long does it take to read and answer a simple question. This is just as bad as your on-line Customer Service Department whom never answer me, even after I wrote to them three different times. According to automated email you receive once you write to them their supposed to respond to your email within 48 hours. Well, if my life depended on their answer I would be dead. Your corporate office is doing the exact same thing. Are you aware that we all have friends and those friends have friends. Even if you think my complaint is insignificant well it isn’t because I am going to continue to write to you and to tell my friends not to shop at your stores nor on-line. All I wanted to know was when your Holiday Fragrance line was going to be released. Specifically the Vanilla Bean Noel collection. I don’t think this is so difficult to answer not a top secret date that you can’t release. I need an answer even if it is just out of courtesy. Erika Huete

I laid a wallflower in a basket on my end table while I cleaned where it was plugged in. I went to put it back and it had leaked all over my table and taken both the varnish and stain off the table. My end table is ruined. I have used wallflowers in my house for years, til now. Not a happy camper.

I got refragrance refill from the store and my kids was trying to smell it , when it spelled out just small drops in the my new car cup holder. I had tissue paper in there, at beginning I thought it just the tissue stuck and I have to clean it. But turn out this refregrance eaten my the tissue and destroyed my new car. And the smell still in my car,
This made me very depressed and sad because my expensive car destroyed because of this cheap refill.
I was fan with bath and body work product, but now I have to warn all my family and friends.
I need my cup holder in my car to be fixed.
I have pictures too if you need it.

I am utterly disgusted and livid that you have discontinued one of your top-selling fragrances Forever Red. it is very difficult for me to find products in your stores that do not affect my allergies and sensitivities I previously used Cottonwood which was also discontined. I went without for a long time before Forever Red came to the product line. I have no idea why it was necessary to discontinue this product, when it was rarely on the shelves which indicated to me that it was a good seller. What is your marketing mix ?what is your strategy? Keep things that are standard and good…I just don’t get it!! If you have to discontinue products from the stores at least make it available online so those are us who wish to purchase it still can. Stick to the basic and leave all of that foo foo pumpkin spice and other seasonal smells alone…yuck!!

Good afternoon,

I am writing to you because of a problem that I am having as an employee at one of the locations. I am currently employed at the Sanibel Outlets location in Florida.

I had made a complaint to Corporate regarding the lack of scheduled hours that I am receiving at my location. Since then, I was asked into the office with the store Manager, Carol Davis Lee, and another person, Rachel. At which time, Carol expressed her displeasure regarding my call in to Corporate. I was written up, and now have ZERO hours in the store for the week.

It is my understanding of Florida Law, that there are a minimum number of hours that each employee should be receiving on a weekly basis.

I am seeking other employment, but that does not negate the need to have a cohesive and reasonably friendly environment in which to work, as well as expect to receive at least SOME hours. I am unsure if there others that have had similar problems, but that is frankly not my place, nor my concern.

Please let me know what is suggested as a remedy at your earliest convenience. Of note, I prefer email communication rather than the telephone, so that I may have an accurate and detailed account of ALL communications regarding this matter. Regarding same, when copied, I’d prefer to be BLIND COPIED.

Please know that I am writing this to you, not just to convey my frustration and disappointment, but also in the interest of doing what I believe is THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

I live in the Netherlands, and I am a regular user of your products. Most of the time I would have friends and family buy these products for me in the USA. I was very surprised to find one of your stores in Bangkok on my recent trip to Thailand. Since there is no Bath and Body works in the Netherlands, I was wondering what the procedure is to open up a franchise in The Neterlands.

I am extremely upset that the Jasmine Vanilla aromatherapy line was discontinued without any warning. I’ve bought all I could online and now it’s not offered at all. Is there any chance it will be restocked?

I’m very very very upset!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been using the wall flower plug-ins from bath and body works forever!! I recently moved and purchased a NEW dresser and bed room set!
I placed the plug-in on top of my dresser for a split second and it tipped over and spilled onto my dresser! I went to go get a paper napkin to clean up the spill, whatever in the plug-in took off my varinish and paint on MY NEW DRESSER!!!!!!
I need my dresser fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I visited the Macarthur Park store on Saturday 7555 N Macarthur Blvd Suite 100 Irving Tx 75063. 06/27/2017 4:19 pm. My friend attempted to use a coupon that she brought up on her phone. The lady told her she couldn’t use the coupon because it was for online purchases only, She also told us that the manager lived around the corner and watched the camera from home, At the bath and body works store Keller the lady let us use the coupon and stated it was good for 3 days after the sale. I had already purchased my item if i hadn’t i wouldn’t have because that explanation was completely and utterly ridiculous. and it cost your store a sale. I know your store has sales quotas I’m told 8000.00 for Saturday so why would you risk a 50.00 sale. The young lady wore glasses , long hair and
she worked nest to reg 4 cashier 1909315 store 81228. poor customer service and lame excuses is not good for business

Hello. I just wanted to know why I can use my Victoria Secret Credit Card in the Bath and Body Works store but I don’t have the option to use it when I’m purchasing at Bath and Body Works online. I’m wanting to purchase numerous items from online because those items are not in stores and are discontinued and would like to purchase before they are gone. My wife and I were shopping at the Bath and Body Works (Northtown Mall Blaine MN location) on 05/17/17 around closing time. I can respect a good sales people! but to be followed around and pressured to buy more product by both of them! and then have them both bringing shopping bags to us and suggesting filling them. We where only there to purchase 1 or 2 things! but they kept coming up (taking turns and pushing sales to the point I was pissed!) It made my shopping experience at this location BAD! Sometimes enough is enough! But they didn’t stop there! at checkout They both started insisting that my wife come work for Bath and Body Works! and once again BOTH OF THEM WOULD NOT “STOP” It was a very uncomfortable situation! She even insisted that my wife give her phone number and email address to her!!! I have never experienced anything like this! This is the first time I have ever filled one of these out ever! I would imagine this will just fall on dead ears or swept under the rug! and the two “CREEPY” ladies will go on working there.

Dear Bath & Body works, I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years. Im writing to you to let you know my experience in those 20 years. I use your shower jell, after shower, matching lotion, then matching body spray. Your scents last’s all day and I have the most softest skin you have ever felt. Not a dry spot on me, I even get stopped in the streets, shopping, everywhere asking about my skin. Your products need to be more advertised on television with everyday women who experience your product as I do. I am 47 and my skin is as soft as a newborn babe. No wrinkles, no dryness, ever. Using your product Is what I tell people is my secret. You need a commercial on TV to show the world your amazing products and scent. I thank you for making my skin so beautiful!!

Your online help center for “Product Inquiries” provided me with very unhelpful information. VERY disappointed. I will share my poor experience on Yelp and shop at my local Walgreens or Ultra Beauty store instead of Bath & Body Works from now on.
I don’t understand what the point of having a customer “support” center is for if they are just going to read/repeat the back of the receipt to me. I’m literate thank you.

I have a 14.5 ounce jar candle that literally caught itself on fire and was flaming about 7 inches up in the air. It got so hot that it cut itself in the jar into three separate pieces. I have pictures please contact me immediately, I don’t ever know that I will be able to burn your candles again.

To whom it may concern:
I’ve been a Bath & Body Works customer (soon not to be) for a lot of years. About two years ago I started receiving coupons to my address in someone else name. Now normally something like that wouldn’t bother me. However this does because of someone having stolen my identity. I called your corporate office to have the name removed from your customer contact list. I was told it would take about three mailing cycles before it would take place. I waited longer than the three months and still received the coupons. I called again and yet again still received the coupons. CalIed again and again and again, etc…… I think you get my jest. Not sure what it’s going to take to get Dana T Bates name off of your customers contact list associated with my address but IT NEEDS TO STOP NOW!!!!!!! I’m very uncomfortable knowing someone can easily use my address and your company don’t seem to care about honoring my requests. I will be going on social media to let the public know how disconcerning your company is when it comes to customer service. I am once again asking you to remove Dana T Bates name from being associated to my address. Having someone still my identity has been a nightmare. Trying to clear this up is not easy and this only adds to my frustration and concerns. I will no longer shop at Bath& Body Works. I can’t support and shop from a company that clearly doesn’t support its customers and their request.
