Cold Stone Creamery serves premium ice cream that is 12 to 14 percent butterfat based. Franchising operations began in 1995.
Today, the company has 300 locations in the US, as well as locations in 27 other countries. The company is the 6th largest seller of ice cream in the world. All flavors are made in house, as well as waffle cones, brownies, and ice cream “bowls”.
Cold Stone Creamery was acquired by the Kahala Group in May of 2007. The company had $1 billion in revenue in 2014.
