Aeva develops a sensing system based on laser sensors that detect velocity, depth, and reflectivity of more than 200 yards. Aeva’s 4D LiDAR on Chip aims to combine instant velocity measurements and long-range performance at affordable costs for commercialization at the silicon scale.

Aeva can sense an object from over 200 m away, identify if it is a car or a person, know precisely how fast it is going, and predict what it will do in the following seconds.

In May 2023, the company stock jumped nearly 19% as various companies expressed interest in the expansion of Aeva (NYSE: AEVA)

In July 2023, Aeva announced that it would participate in several investor events, including the JP Morgan Automotive Conference in New York.

In August 2023, Railergy selected Aeva to enable safe autonomous technology for trains in Europe.

Fun Spot America was founded in Orlando, Florida, in 1979. The company operates a chain of amusement and water parks around the country.

The company currently has 3 locations, two in Florida and one in Georgia.

Fun Spot, in collaboration with Gatorland, opened Gator Spot at the Orlando park on May 11, 2015. The $1 million attraction allows Gatorland to extend its brand to the tourist area, with visitors able to hold, take photos with, and feed alligators. The star of the attraction is a leucistic alligator named Bouya, a white gator with blue eyes.

In June 2023, Fun Spot celebrated its 25th anniversary by offering all-day $25 tickets.

In early August 2023, a young boy was found injured on the Galaxy Spin rollercoaster. He was taken to a local hospital and treated. An investigation is ongoing.

Prose was founded in 2017 by Arnaud Plas, Nicholas Mussat, and Paul Michaux. The company creates and sells beauty products directly to the consumer.

Plas was working for L’Oreal when he realized that the hair-care industry was broken. Driven to start his own company using his knowledge, Prose was founded.

Well-known for its hair care products, in June 2023, Prose announced that it was launching an AI-powered 3-step skin care regimen.

History

Prose is different from other hair and skin care products in that Plaud uses a machine he created in France which can custom mix thousands of bottles of custom-made shampoos and other products each and every day.

Plaud prides himself on making hair care products that are different from the run-of-the-mill mass-produced products seen on store shelves.

Martinelli’s Little Italy Restaurant Corporate Office

Tony Dong and Nicolette Unruh were disappointed by Italian restaurants in their state of Kansas, so they decided to start their own.

Founded in 2001 in Salinas, Kansas, Martinelli’s still maintains the usual red-checked tablecloths, wine selection, and great food that Italian restaurants are known for, without the pretentious prices or names.

The restaurant accepts take-out orders, as well as offers dine-in, catering, delivery, and event space that seats up to 200 guests.  

History

Like most restaurants, Martinelli’s had a difficult time during the pandemic of 2020-2022 but managed to stay open and retain nearly all of its employees.

In January 2023, the Chamber of Commerce in Salinas, Kansas, hosted its first restaurant week, highlighting area eateries. Martinelli’s Little Italy was the first restaurant of note.

In April 2023, Martinelli’s held a “Killer Karaoke Cadaver”, a musical comedy dinner theater show with all benefits going to Salinas High School.
