Baer’s Furniture was founded in South Bend, Indiana, in 1945 by Melvin and Lucile Baer. The company’s original name was Baer’s Home Outfitters. The company operates a chain of furniture and home decor stores.

History

The Baer’s moved to southern Florida in the late 1960s and took their business with them. Today, Baer’s Furniture has 16 locations in the South Florida area and two warehouses. The company is still family-owned and operated by the Baer family.

Baer’s Furniture offers design help, and financing through Synchrony Bank, and sells brand-name furniture, including Bernhardt, Natuzzi, Tommy Bahama, and Broyhill.

In April 2023, two workers who had fumigated a warehouse for Baer’s Furniture were later found dead. An investigation is ongoing. 

Baer’s Furniture headquarters are located in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Bag Borrow or Steal rents items on a monthly basis, but items can be kept longer. At this time, there are no membership fees. All items are guaranteed to be authentic, with no knock off’s allowed.

Discovery Cove was founded in Orlando, Florida, in July of 2000. The company operates a hands on dolphin, aviary and aquatic park. The company is owned by Seaworld Parks and Entertainment and is a sister park to Acquatica Orlando, as well as Seaworld Orlando.

The park has 4 water themed attractions, including a coral reef swimming pool that has fish and manta rays, a dolphin pool, where guests can swim with dolphins, and the tropical “river”, which goes through the aviary and the perimeter of the park. The aviary has numerous parrots that guests can feed.

Discovery Cove only allows 1,200 visitors at any given time, to keep the animals from becoming overly stressed by crowds. The park has different admission prices, depending on how involved a guest would like to become. Discovery Cove is one of Orlando’s most popular attractions.

The company’s full name is Papa Gambino’s Pizza and Subs, but it is often referred to simply as Gambino’s. The menu is fairly extensive, including fresh dough pizzas, calzones, breadsticks, submarine sandwiches, salads, as well as burgers, chicken, and eggplant Parmesan. Gambino’s also offers delivery for a small fee. Sandwich bread, as well as pizza dough, are made and baked fresh at each location daily.

Pacific Decor was founded in 2008 in Mount Vernon, Washington, by current CEO and owner Ronald Benson. The company manufactures and sells a variety of fountains and tabletop fireplaces via an eCommerce site.

The company manufactures, designs, and sells table top ceramic fountains that feature underwater LED lights, as well as tabletop “firepots” which burn a gel type of fuel, that produces little or no smoke. Gel fuel cans fit all company products and are safe to use indoors, other than citronella scented, which are intended for outdoor use only.

Due to a recall involving pourable gel fuel, the company now sells only premeasured fuel, which lasts about 2 hours. Fuel containers are now replaced, rather than being refilled to eliminate any danger.
