Associated Banc-Corp was formed when three community banks, The First National Bank of Neenah, founded in 1861; Kellogg Citizens National Bank, and Green Bay, consolidated into one bank.

The company continued to grow over the years, mainly via acquisitions, including First National Bank of Hudson in 2007, Ahmann & Martin Company in 2015, and Whitnell & Company in 2017. The bank is the largest (via assets) in the state of Wisconsin, with more than 200 locations and with commercial financial services reaching as far as Texas.

Associated Banc-Corp was added to the NYSE in 2014 and is publicly traded under the ticker symbol: ASB. In 2016, the company purchased the 28-story Milwaukee Center office building to allow for future expansion of the company.

Grandy’s was founded by two high school friends who were working together at a cafeteria. This pair decided that they wanted to create a restaurant that not only had comfort foods like a cafeteria but had service people could count on.

The restaurant chain was sold several times over the years and was eventually sold to Captain D’s, LLC, in 2011. Currently, the company has 50 locations, with most of them in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas area. The restaurant chain offers comfort foods and traditional American meals, such as fried chicken, mashed potates, and chicken fried steaks.

Grandy’s is perhaps best known for it’s fried chicken dinners, although the company is open for breakfast and lunch as well. Headquarters are now located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lulus.Com Corporate Office

Lulus.Com

Lulus was founded in 1996 by mother and daughter team Debra Cannon and Colleen Winter. The pair opened a small clothing store, then took over a shoe store next door. The shoe store did not survive, but it eventually morphed into Lulus.Com, an online clothing store.

History

The company still maintains their storefront, but it’s the eCommerce site that really thrives. With more than 1 million registered customers, the company shipped almost a quarter million orders in 2010 and a half a million orders around the world in 2013. The storefront continues to expand as other businesses close but the online store continues to occupy most of the 100 employees time.

Lulus.Com was listed as #13 on Ranker’s list of Top Womens Online Clothing Sites. Headquarters are located in Chico, California. The Better Business Bureau gives them an A+ rating.

In 2014, HIG Growth Partners invested in Lulu’s as they expect the company to become one of the leading fashion E-retailers.

Hollister Co was founded in 2000 in New Albany, Ohio. The company operates as a subsidiary of Abercrombie and Fitch, Inc., and sells clothing with a beach/surfing theme.

History

The company concept was originally designed to attract consumers aged 14–18, at a lower price point than the parent brand, Abercrombie and Fitch. Through its Southern California inspired image, the company sells casual, beach style clothing, footwear, and accessories. Products are available in-store and through the company’s eCommerce site. Starting with a few “test” stores in Ohio, the company has branched out internationally and has almost 600 locations.

Hollister Co announced in 2013 that they would remodel all stores over the next few years. Company headquarters remain in New Albany, Ohio.

D&B Supply Corporate Office

D&B Supply

Founded in 1959 by a pair of friends, Dutch and Budd started D&B Supply when they recognized an opportunity to service rural farmers in Idaho. The company started off by selling items for farmers, including batteries, tires, tractor parts, chemicals, and hardware.

Today, the company sells to both rural homeowners and farmers, as well as veterinary supplies. In addition to farming items, the company sells apparel and footwear, animal feed and tack for domestic pets and livestock, lawn and garden supplies, hardware, sporting goods, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers and other types of supplies.

D&B Supply has 10 locations in Idaho and Oregon. Headquarters remain in Caldwell, Idaho, where Dutch and Budd planned on staying for the night but opened a business instead.
