Tradesy Corporate Office

Tradesy was founded in 2012 by Tracy DiNunzio. DiNunzio wanted to sell some of her expensive accessories and found that there were very few options to do so. Tradesy is a peer to peer marketplace where sellers offer their pre-owned clothing and accessories.

Since 2009, she had been running Recycled Bride, a peer-to-peer resale marketplace where brides could buy and sell wedding dresses and accessories. She soon expanded her platform to women’s luxury fashion items. In 2019, the company began powering new third-party resale services via Rebag. Rebag introduced CLAIR (“Comprehensive Luxury Appraisal Index for Resale”) which provides sellers an immediate value of their bags.

In 2017, the company opened its first showroom on the ground floor of their corporate office building in Santa Monica, California.

In late 2019, the company acquired Fitz, an in-home service that helps women organize and make the most of the wardrobe, renaming the company Tradesy Closet Concierge.

Fiverr was founded by Micha Kaufman and Shai Wininger in 2010. This pair came up with the idea of providing an online marketplace where buyers and sellers could meet but instead of selling items, they would buy and sell services.

Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelancers looking for work and employers who need temporary work performed. Services offered on the site include article writing and other writing services, translation, graphic design, video editing, and programming. Fiverr’s services start at US $5 and can go up to thousands of dollars with Gig Extras. Each service offered is called a “Gig”.

The website has grown more than 600% since 2011. The Fiverr marketplace is dominated by young adults, with only 2% of the sellers (freelancers) being over the age of 55. The company has stated that the rate of sellers aged 55–64 grew 375% at the end of the second quarter of 2015, compared with the year before.

Poshmark was founded by Manish Chandra, Tracy Sun, Gautam Golwala, & Chetan Pungaliya in 2011. The company operates a mobile phone app which allows users to sell their gently used items and ship them to customers anywhere in the US.

Poshmark takes a 20% commission from items sold. Sellers can have their accounts suspended or completely removed from the site if they take sales offline or to a competitor. While some people have claimed to make several thousand dollars in a single month, (with one seller hitting $1 million in sales) others say that a lack of ratings or feedback from buyers leaves clients open to fraud.

Poshmark stated in August 2018 that sellers had made a combined income of $1 billion since the app was introduced.

Restaurant.Com Corporate Office

Restaurant.Com was founded in 1999 by Cary Chessick. The company partners with restaurants to offer significant savings on gift cards to increase business and clientele. (Note that this is not the same internet search company Restaurants.com)

The company states that it has partnered with 21,000 private and chain restaurants across the USA to offer “significant savings” on gift certificates. A typical discount would offer a $25 gift certificate for $10.

The company says that none of the money goes to the actual restaurant, but they instead offer free marketing and offer restaurants a chance to gain new customers.

Some restaurants have complained that they did not agree to these terms and gift cards are sold without their consent. The company states that some restaurants might not fully understand the terms of the deal or that they are failing to explain to their employees how to properly credit the gift cards.

The Better Business Bureau has issued a warning to customers that there appears to be a pattern with gift cards not being accepted at all businesses.

TalkSpace was founded by Roni and Oren Frank in New York, New York, in 2012. The company is an online therapy service, which connects clients with therapists. After the couple went through marriage counseling, Roni Frank thought that everyone should have access to therapists, but that many people simply didn’t have time to make appointments and see therapists in person.

The company software operates on any device that has internet access, including tablets, laptop computers, desk top computers, and mobile phones. As of mid-2016, clients and therapists can use real time video chat for sessions. All therapists are licensed. The company offers unlimited text messaging, as well as audio and video programs. Currently, TalkSpace has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

TalkSpace is approved by Irvin Yalom, Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at Stanford University. In 2016, the company hired Linda Sacco, LCSW, Ph.D, as Vice President of Behavioral Health. Company headquarters remain in New York, New York.
