Clarks Shoes Corporate Office

Brothers Cyrus and James Clark began business by making rugs out of sheepskin and wool. James discovered that he could make slippers out of the excess material that needed to be cut off the rugs.

This soon began the shoe business the world would come to know as Clarks.

In the United Kingdom, Clarks has long been a favorite of parents for new shoes for school-aged children. In the 1970s, Clarks saw a huge demand in the USA for shoes that are now called Wallabees. These suede shoes have heavy gum soles, making them quieter than traditional leather.

In the Netflix series Breaking Bad, a school teacher turned drug maker Walter White is frequently seen wearing Wallabees.

Clarks is well-known for making a wide range of comfortable shoes for everyday wear. In May 2023 Shape magazine listed Clarks as one of the best shoes for those suffering from plantar fasciitis.

In November 2022, Clarks recalled some shoe names due to high levels of toxins in the dye used to make the navy blue color.

Clarks maintains a corporate office in the USA in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Olin Corporation is listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol OLN.

Olin maintains a corporate office in Clayton, Missouri.
