Lifetime Products manufactures polyethylene folding chairs, tables, picnic tables, and home basketball equipment. The company also manufactures large consumer products including sheds, trailers, kayaks, paddleboards, and lawn and garden items.
Lifetime Products was founded when Barry Mower made a sturdy basketball pole for himself and began selling them through a classified ad. Soon after, he opened a small sporting-goods store which he named Lifetime Products in 1986. The name means products that are built to last a lifetime.
In 1995 the company invented the first blow-molded picnic table in 1995. More blow-molded items followed.
In 2010 Lifetime Products acquired Dragonfly Innovation Corp, a producer of blow-molded kayaks. The kayaks are popular because they are designed not to flip over.
Today the company has the largest single-point blow molded plastics facility in North America. The company’s products are available in more than 70 countries worldwide. In the United States products are available in Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Modell’s, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Costco, BJ’s, Home Depot, Lowe’s and more.

Lifetime is not a safe place to work. I saved a guy from falling from a ladder. The ladder was slipping out from under him and I pushed it back so that the ladder would not fall. The guy was fixing one of the machines. The floors on these machines are very greasy from oil. These machines only get cleaned once a year.
Also, I am small and short and I was assigned to help lift the canoes while they are in boxes and help pile one on top of another on a pallet. These canoes are too heavy and and I cannot reach that high either.
Another time, I was assigned to put the small boats in the big box of the pallet by myself. These may be small, but they are still heavy and cumbersome. There were several times where the boat fell on my head and neck.

Hello,
I recently purchased (6 weeks ago) one of your outdoor glider benches. I am having some problems with rusting “stainless” screws breaking off and rusting water running out of the frame. I spent 1/2 hour waiting for someone to answer the phone in outdoor department today only to be told by Terry that I have to fill out claim online and don’t expect a response for at least 2-3 business days “as they are very backed up”. I tried to fill out the claim online, but it wasn’t working past name and address. CLEARLY there are problems in this company if I can’t even fill out the warranty claim for a department that is “backed up”.
Get it together! Check your production and quality control!

Have worked for Lifetime for almost 7 years. It has been a very rewarding company to work for and I have enjoyed the benefits and environment immensely.

This company is a horrible place to work, as soon as your hired, it seems that HR is on a mission to get you fired. I was there less than a month, I got a write up for being ten minutes late because of a train in the freeport center that I had to wait for, another write up for missing work because my father went into the ICU on an emergency basis, even though I had a letter from the hospital to prove it, the response from HR when I got the phone call, was I would be given an occurrence for leaving to take care of him, and the only way they would be helpful with me, is if I brought in an obituary our death certificates! then the last straw, a write up because I was going to be late due to my transmission going out on my truck, and having to wait for a tow truck, with a receipt as proof, even though I had enough PTO to cover the 45 minutes. This company left me in a bad situation, and they couldn’t care less, I got terminated for that. It’s almost as if they expect you to not have a life outside of work where things can go wrong. I will never return to this company, and I would not recommend anyone else working here either.

Horrible place to work I am currently employed. Been working there almost a year now got promoted to smec then 4 months after that they change everything take my position away put me back on the production line, deny me my raise because at life time raises are not given for good performance they are based on this little 20th century Japanese invention called a kaizen that most employees neither have the time to wright them down let alone implement them. I am fed up with my treatment and my wages for the kind of work that is done there. I will not be returning or advising anyone they should work there. They wonder why they have such a high turn over rate and such s***ty quality in their product’s well it’s beucase their employees do not feel appreciated or compensated fairly for their time and hard work they put into the company .

The store employees are treated terribly! Especially in the Clearfield store. I heard the manager using terrible language to his employees and my children were present! Plus they fired someone in a harassment claim when HE was the victim of a lady doing inappropriate things to him!. Messed up!
