HalloweenMart.Com was founded in 1994 and is headquartered out of Las Vegas, Nevada. While the company does have one retail location in Las Vegas, it is the company website for which it is best known.

The company is a division of International Concepts Entertainment Group. In addition to their regular location, which is open year ’round, the company opens several seasonal retail stores throughout Las Vegas from early September until October 31st. Costumes are the company’s biggest selling item, however, there is also a wide range of spooky, decorative items for the home and “haunted houses.”

Company spokesperson Heather Siegel states that the average customer spends $70 per visit. The most popular costumes continue to be pirates, French maids, with zombies being the most popular costume of 2016.

Schlitterbahn Water Park was founded in 1979 by the Henry family. The company has headquarters in New Braunfels, Texas, just outside of Austin. The company currently has 5 seasonal water parks in Texas and Kansas. There are two more water parks being constructed at this time; one in Cedar Park, Texas, the other in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The word Schlitterbahn means “slippery road” in German, which the Henry’s thought suited the park. Most parks operate only April through September, although the park on Galveston Island has a small indoor section, which enables it to remain open all year.

The tragic death of a 10 year old child occured at the original park in New Braunfels, on the ride called Verruckt (meaning “crazy” in German) on August 7, 2016. This has kept most of the park closed until investigators determine exactly what happened.

Halloween Club was founded in 1994 by cousins Babloo Sawhney and Jack Bhasin. After opening a department store called Aah’s, the pair noticed that there was big demand for Halloween items, not only at Halloween, but most of the year. This inspired the pair to open their own company, First Imperial Trading Company, and Halloween Club was born.

The company currently has two locations, one in La Mirada, the other in Montebello, California.

There is also an extensive online selection. Each store has thousands of costumes, masks, make up, and accessories, as well as Halloween decorations for the home. Many of the costumes are manufactured by the company and are sold under the “Straight From the Grave” label.

The Knotts began serving food in a tea room on the property and soon added shops and entertainment for visitors. Walter Knott began construction of a “ghost town” on his farm in the late 1940’s. By the early 1960’s, Knott’s Berry Farm was founded and admission was no longer free.

Today, Knott’s Berry Farm is owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment. This wild west themed park is the 12th most visited park in America and has more than 10,000 full time employees. A water park was added in 1999 and Cedar Fair continues to expand the park by adding more rides.

The park currently has 10 roller coasters, 2 water rides, and a total of 40 rides and attractions. Knott’s Berry Farm had almost 4 million visitors in 2015.

In 2013, Universal Studios Hollywood had more than 6.1 million visitors and is the 9th most visited theme park in the US. It also ranks as the #17th most popular theme park in the world.

Carl Laemmle first offered “backlot” tours of Universal Studios in 1915 for 5 cents. This also included a chicken lunch. Once sound came to the movies, tours were discontinued for about 30 years. They were reintroduced in the early 1960’s. The theme park, with roller coasters and themed rides began in the early 1970’s.
