Today, Pelican Products offers a wide range of what founder David Parker would still consider “useful” items, including coolers, cases and covers for smart phones, tablets, and laptops, as well as Zenon, LED, and Halogen flashlights. The company is owned by private investing firm Behrman Capital.

Pelican Products also offers customized, molded cases to fit special equipment, such as cameras and monitors. These customized case centers are found in the US, France, Australia, the UK, and Canada.

Harps Food Stores was founded in 1930 by brothers Harvard and Floyd Harp in Springdale, Arkansas. The company is best known for providing a wide variety of services beyond simply groceries. Some locations offer fueling stations, while others sell sporting goods.

The company has 84 locations in 4 states, with the majority of locations in Arkansas. The company had annual revenue in 2015 of $808 million and employs more than 4,300 persons.

Harps Food Stores became employee owned in 2001 after buying company shares from the Harp family. Stores are supplied by Kansas based Associated Wholesale Grocers. The company has maintained a “growth through acquisition” policy that saw them expand, even during the 2008 financial crunch and in 2020 during the coronavirus crisis.

In March 2020, the company acquired 20 Town and Country Grocery locations.

The Gardens Casino Corporate Office

The Hawaiian Gardens Casino, known mostly as The Gardens Casino, was founded in 1993 by Irving Moskowitz, M.D. Moskowitz had already been running a bingo parlor when he decided to build a gaming casino in a suburb of Los Angeles.

The original “casino” was nothing more than a tent and thick carpets. Today, the casino has 225 card tables, a full service restaurant, A VIP lounge, as well as meeting or multi-purpose rooms. The large artificial volcano outside regularly spews “lava” and smoke. Business has increased by 15% since April.

The casino has had numerous problems over the year. A recent $90 million dollar overhaul was greeted with cheers by clients, but now runs the risk of having their license suspended for not following certain rules. The city of Hawaiian Gardens gets approximately 65% of its budget from the taxes paid from the casino. The Gardens Casino is also the largest employer in the area, with nearly 2,000 employees.

LuLaRoe Corporate Office

LuLaRoe was founded in 2012 in Corona, California, by husband and wife team Mark and DeAnne Stidham. Mother of 7, DeAnne wanted clothing that was soft, comfortable, and didn’t show off those extra baby pounds.

Today, LuLaRoe is a huge fashion hit on social media sites. The company makes each design by hand and prints no more than 2,500 of any one print, so chances are very unlikely that clients will see someone else wearing the same print. The company makes women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing. They are best known for leggings called ‘Buttery Soft”. The company sells only via their “Fashion Consultants”, known to everyone else as Multi-Level Marketing.

The company has been hit with numerous complaints lately, especially about their most popular leggings. Complaints are generally that the leggings rip apart after only 1 or two washings. Currently, LuLaRoe has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau due to these complaints.

The WingHouse Bar and Grill Corporate Office

The WingHouse Bar and Grill was founded in 1994 in Largo, Florida, by Ex NFL player Crawford Ker. The original name of the company was Ker’s Winghouse.

Ker originally owned another restaurant called The Frat House. He was an absentee owner and the business failed, taking Ker’s entire investment with it. This lesson taught Ker quite a bit, however, and his next restaurant, The Winghouse, which resembles a Hooter’s restaurant, is performing much better.

The company has more than 27 locations, all in Florida, and annual revenue in 2008 of $600 million. Ker won a $1.2 million dollar lawsuit against Hooters, who claimed that his restaurants “stole” their business plan. The judge ruled in favor of Ker.
