This company is a scam with completely useless “support” agents you can ONLY reach via email or live chat, never ever on the phone. They charge the end customer a modest and at times hefty fee and pay their independent contractors (ie people looking for work on the app) 25% of the fee not including travel or most other expenses. They also are extremely vague (for many reasons) in posted jobs….you accept the job thinking it’s fair for the travel, time and personal cost only to see the job can take up to 3x longer and far more complicated that thought initially….if you can cancel….either YOU the person doing the job will be penalized 100% of your earned share of the job or the end customer will eat the entire cost of the job . I am a very understanding person and I totally appreciate that they are a company in business for profit but they behave and operate in right-on-the-line or outright illegal, unfair and dirty business practices. I understand the overhead and liability insurance (for the end customer only as they DO NOT protect the person doing the work from injury or other risks what-so-ever) but for people struggling for money they even charge a FEE to withdraw your earnings. Talk about a slap in the face. As you personally are offered zero insurance, supplies or travel reimbursement I think 25% is extremely low and outright shameful.

How do I contact Corporate Headquarters? I have successfully worked a total (so far)of 47 jobs through the Handy App. I am a widowed mom of 2 And have worked hard building my. own personal Cleaning business, today I traveled 2 hours to a customers cleaning. Checked into the app, did all I was suppose to, the customer didn’t want today’s appointment and so I took the proper steps from there. I received a text around 7:30pm that I am being charged $164 fee for not showing to the appointment, even worse…when I went into the handy app, all the records from today are GONE.
HOWEVER, I keep “screenshot records”, but I feel the Owners of this company need to know that Dan(Handy) took away my 3 jobs I had scheduled for the next two days! I have children, and past due bills and if I’d known that someone could erase all proof of my hard work, long travel time and take the way I feed my children away from me like this…I would have never devoted my hard work and time to this company. So if anyone knows a way I can reach out to the CEO and actually be heard. Please let me know.

This doesn’t work. I have called over and over and have emailed this company 1000 times. Its unreal to think no one listens or helps people. I signed up 2 years ago and for some reason, I can’t claim jobs. I can see the jobs just won’t let me work and claim jobs. Several people said over email they fixed it and they haven’t because it still don’t work. I’ve left voicemails called who ever I could to help and no one cares. This is sad. I probably don’t wanna work for a company like this. If they don’t take pride in helping their workers then they don’t take pride in anything apparently.

Complain to your attorney general of your state, your state labor department, and contact a labor lawyer maybe you could start a class action lawsuit in your state, most likely you are not the only one. If u know of others encourge them to do the same.
