In July 2023, a Fosters Freeze in Fresno, California, in business since 1976, was closed to make way for a new Starbucks location.

I was just at the Foster Freeze in Salinas CA. I ordered the cold brew milkshake. I received my order and proceeded to drink it and it tasted off. I went back inside and asked how they made it that is when the employee informed me they used half and half ice cream the chocolate and vanilla one. To make my cold brew coffee shake. I am allergic to chocolate!!!! I got upset and told him that is not correct. Cold brew is supposed to have vanilla ice cream not the half and half. He told me I was wrong. I told him if they put chocolate in both of the milkshakes what is the difference between them mocha cold brew versus the cold brew. This employee wore a tag that said supervisor. I am allergic to chocolate and now I’m going to have to deal with this reaction because of the ignorance of the employee. Not happy Not cool.

I went to the Fosters Freeze in Castaic with my adult son a few minutes ago and asked for 2 thick orange freezes. They charged us $1.78 more for what they call thick, they were not thick. I use to work for Foster Freeze when I was in High
School in Burbank on Glenoaks near Provadencia. We treated people with respect and didn’t cheat them. We were going to the Fosters Freeze on Solidad Canyon in Canyon Country, sadly they recently they closed down. Otherwise you can rest assured we’d never go to the one in Castaic again. I’m so sad our favorite one has closed down!

I went to the Forster freeze In Santa Cruz and once again my food was under cook so I asked the girl if she could heat it up more as clearly my food was still frozen she said nope. Okay so the following day I got to speak to the manger and he like he can’t give me my money back because the batch for that day was submitted and because I paid card I can’t get cash back. Okay then he told me he has to look through his cameras to see if I was there when I showed him my bank statement that I was there. Then he said he has to call corporate and have them refund me and it will take a week. He offered to make the food again but that’s not what I want at this point in time. Now, it not right to serve undercook food with those high prices.

I ordered a Rocky Road Twister last Saturday, August 26, 2017. I was standing from a corner near the counter waiting for my order. I saw the one handling my order, putting her bare hands to the marshmallow jar. She filled her bare hands with the marshmallows and placed them in the cup of the twister. I also saw many other young people working there putting their bare hands on the different jars and handling food with their bare hands. Perhaps they washed their hands, but I would prefer them wearing gloves. I am reporting this because it is unsanitary for restaurants handling food with their bare hands. I am also afraid to get sick and I don’t want others to get sick, too. Also, this complaint prevents Foster Freeze from being sued by others for being very sick. I hope management corrects this dilemma.

Hello, I am contacting you because, sadly I had the worst corn dog I have ever had, at the Watsonville store. It was so over cooked it looked burned, and was so hot I couldn’t even hold it when it was still in the bag. Honestly, it looked like it had been under the hot lamps all day. I would have taken it back ( I was at the drive through ) but I was blocks away when I saw how disgusting it was. I tried to take a bite, but burned my mouth ( After driving 7 blocks away and parking at my job )and I threw it away. The pumpkin twister was very good though. So here are the details. I went in ordered food the cashier said the machine is down. The next day I went in pulled up my account the manager at the Fresno location was not very friendly as that told me she cannot help me because I need the actual paper from the bank. Since I do all my banking online I do not get statements anymore. This is ridiculous.
