Factory Furniture Outlet, commonly called FFO, was founded by Ray Whitmire in Fort Smith, Arkansas, in 1984. Beginning with one small location, Whitmire believed he could attract customers by offering quality furniture that had been discontinued at other stores for an affordable price.
The family sold the business in 2007 to Alpine-Investors, Inc. The company expanded into other states and grew to 36 locations. The company now has 47 locations in 7 states with more planned to open, usually through acquisitions, such as their February 2018 takeover of Service Furniture and Bedding for an undisclosed amount.
In addition to furniture, the company offers housewares, wall art, decorative items, rugs, and items for organizing the home and home office.
FFO recently returned their headquarters to Fort Smith, Arkansas, after being in Oklahoma for a time. They took over an old Whirlpool distribution center on Jenny Lind Road.

I purchased furniture with “super fantastic” insurance, which when purchased, they explained that if I didn’t need to use the coverage within 5 years, I would be given a 500.00 store credit. Now that the 5 yrs is approaching, I have found that the store where I bought my furniture, is no longer In business. How do I need to proceed with this?
