Comfort Zone Restaurant Corporate Office

The Comfort Zone Restaurant was founded in 2010 by current owner Charlene Smith in Hampton, Virginia. The company operates a popular restaurant and night club.

The restaurant is unique in that it has a full service restaurant during the day and offers a lounge, with live jazz music or a DJ, in the evenings. There is a fairly strict dress code, which allows nice jeans, but no tennis shoes, flip flops, T-shirts, or baseball caps. The restaurant offers VIP packages for groups of 8 or more. Cajun food and classic American dishes are featured, as well as a wide assortment of wine.

The Comfort Zone Restaurant moved late in 2016, just a few blocks away, after their lease was not renewed. Owner Charlene Smith claims that it worked out well because the new location added an extra 5,000 square feet of space and enabled her to employ another 20 persons.

Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast Corporate Office

Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast was founded in 1996 by current owner Martha McGinn, who inherited the house from her grandparents. The business operates a bed/breakfast/museum at the house where Lizzie Borden allegedly killed her parents in 1892.

The home features regular spiritual and psychic readings, ghost hunts, and allows people to rent the room where Borden supposedly killed her parents with an ax. Although Borden was acquitted, the house remains a point of intrigue. Borden’s father was a carpenter and many of the items he made are still in the home.

Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast has a small museum, a gift shop, and sells memorabilia, such as Lizzie Borden dolls. The house also offers a tour for those who do not wish to stay the night.

Lion Country Safari Corporate Office

Lion Country Safari was founded in 1967 in Western Palm Beach County, Florida, by a group of British and South African entrepreneurs who wanted to offer those who could not travel to Africa, a chance to see what a safari was like. The company operates a cageless zoo.

The company operates a type of “reverse” zoo, where animals roam free and people are caged in their cars. The park has more than 1,000 free roaming animals, including giraffes, lions, white rhinos, and zebras, as well as 5 miles of paved roadway. There is also a walk through area of the park, which includes a spray fountain children can run through, a petting zoo, and gift shop. Due to a few patrons who did not follow the rules, lions are now housed behind fences or water ways to prevent accidents.

Lion Country Safari was named 3rd Best Zoo in the Nation by USA Travel Guide. The Florida location is the last “Lion Country Safari” to remain open. Other locations, such as the ones in Texas, California, Ohio, and Virginia, have all closed down operations.
