Ricky’s Sports Theatre Corporate Office

Ricky’s Sports Theatre and Grill, often referred to simply as Ricky’s, was founded by John “Ricky” Ricardo in 1946. The company operates a sports bar and restaurant, with headquarters in San Leandro, California.

Ricky’s Sports Theatre is perhaps best known for the more than 90 big screen and flat screen televisions located everywhere in the building, including bathrooms. It is also the home of Oakland Raiders Football fans, although all NFL games are broadcast. The company motto :No Knuckleheads, ensures that even non-Raider fans can feel comfortable at the business.

In addition to beer and other mixed drinks, the company offers an extensive food menu, including full breakfasts, daily specials, chicken wings, Mexican food dishes, salads, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, even spaghetti.

Ricky’s Sports Theatre also offers a to go menu and accepts phone orders, but currently does not offer delivery service.

ProFlowers Corporate Office

ProFlowers was founded by Jared Polis in 1998. Polis wanted to eliminate the long chain of suppliers when it came to the typical flower delivery services by having flower orders shipped directly to growers. In addition to flowers, the company now also offers chocolate covered fruits, stuffed animals, balloons, wine gifts, fruit and snack baskets, as well as boxed chocolates and living plants.

The company was purchased in February of 2006 for $477 million by Provide Commerce, Inc., which is headquartered in San Diego, California. After being sued several times by  the company’s largest competitor, Florists Transworld Delivery (FTD), ProFlowers and its sister companies were purchased by FTD for $430 million. The sale was completed at the end of 2014.

ProFlowers is known for their frequent online discounts, coupons, and free delivery services for sales totaling  certain dollar amount.

In June 2019, the company abruptly shut down the San Diego office after the parent company, FTD, filed for bankruptcy. 

In March 2020, the company received the highest customer satisfaction award from J.D. Powers.

Safe Home Security was founded in Cromwell, Connecticut, in 1988 by current CEO David Roman. The company sells and installs residential and commercial burglar alarms and security systems. The company also offers fire systems, security alert systems, and medical alert systems.

The Connecticut Attorney General filed a civil action against the company in 2007 for unfair practices, including installing defective equipment, installing systems that could not be monitored, failing to honor their warranty, and unfair debt collection practices. The case was resolved in March of 2014 when the judge sided against Safe Home Security.

Safe Home Security has since expanded, acquiring Pinnacle Security and gaining a new equity partner. The company states that they are looking forward to resolving past problems and making a fresh start.

After failing to comply with court-ordered measures, the Connecticut Attorney General again filed a $5 million stipulation judgment against Safe Home Security in March of 2022.

Today, Shipley Do-Nuts has 400 locations in 6 states, with plans to have 500 stores or more by the year 2020. What sets Shipley Do-Nuts apart from the rest are that the company not only bakes them fresh each day, they bake small batches so most customers will enjoy a hot, fresh donut that is minutes old, rather than hours old.

Sloman’s also offers air conditioning service and electronic automation, which enables heating, cooling, and security units to be operated remotely.

In November 2023, a market research report stated that home alarm monitoring services, such as Slomin’s, were expected to have tremendous gains over the next 5 years.
