Bush’s Chicken was founded in Waco, Texas, in 1996 by Keith and Charlene Bush. The restaurant chain is best known for it’s southern-styled fried chicken and sides that include fried okra, fries, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, yeast rolls, and macaroni and cheese. Bush’s Chicken also offers sweet tea and unsweetened ice tea sold by the gallon jug.

The company has approximately 90 locations in 4 states, with a mix of both franchises and corporate-owned stores. Many locations in Texas offer old-fashioned car hop service, which is popular with locals.

In late 2012, the chain was hit with a lawsuit in which a woman claimed her husband died from salmonella poisoning after eating at Bush’s Chicken. Based on medical evidence at the trial, the jury concluded that Bush’s Chicken was not responsible for the man’s death.

In June of 2018, multiple locations suddenly closed their doors with no explanation. The restaurant chain had been briefly sold, but second generation Bush family members repurchased the restaurant chain.

In October 2020, the company introduced a new sandwich, the Bushbaby Chicken Sandwich.

El Dorado Furniture was founded by Cuban immigrant Manuel Capo in 1967 in Miami, Florida. Today, the company is owned and operated by the Capo family.

In 1994, El Dorado Furniture opened its first Boulevard showroom. This design concept would eventually be implemented in all of its stores. The Boulevard is a facade of a typical Main Street in America, surrounded by “shops” that serve as dedicated showrooms for different categories of furniture.

In 2004, the company opened the largest furniture showroom in the state of Florida and in 2006, Furniture Today listed the company as #46 on their list of the Top 100 Furniture Stores in the US. The company now has 14 showrooms throughout the state.

The move allowed founder Daniel Meyer to expand the menu to include hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes. The company states it uses organic, antibiotic and hormone free Angus beef products only.

In August of 2018, the company announced that it was delaying the opening of new restaurants and that annual revenue of between $446 million and $450 million was to be expected, even though this was below previous estimates of $452.3 million. La La Ling Corporate Office

La La Ling calls itself a baby lifestyle boutique, not just a baby and kids clothing store. Founded in 2004 by Ling Chan, the company has become “the” place for celebrities and hip Los Angeles mothers to outfit their children.
